Asking out a girl from my salsa dance class?

So I joined Salsa dance classes a few weeks ago and I've speaking to this one girl in class . She's really friendly with me and uses every opportunity to pull my leg . The thing is she is one of the instructors of the class and she talks to everyone in a friendly manner . Although she does flirt a bit more with me , one of our two times she's touched my biceps and commented " Wow you work out a lot don't you " and she smiles a LOT around me .

From my convos with her , I know that her office is somewhat close to my house . Maybe I can tell her something like "Hey we should hang out sometime , give me a call if you're in the area , we can grab a bite sometime ? " and then exchange numbers ?

Or should I say something like "Hey I need some help with some of my dance steps , could we catch up sometime during the week ?

The help with the dance steps is the plan you should stick with! it says (coming from a girl myself once in this situation) that you like her as a good friend, more our less, but not coming on to strong to scare her away, keep doing this every time you wanna hang out and when she opens up more about her personal life, then start doing stuff like eating out, hope this helps, and wish you the best

First off congrats for being man enough to take dance lessons :) knowing how to dance is huge plus for a guy IMO.

On to the question. I'd take the second approach but only after she warms up to you more. It is a more casual approach. Neither one is in the spot that way.

The second approach. Don't worry about what the last guy said. You'd be a coward if you didn't try anything at all. Besides, if she agrees, you can experience her outside of class and figure out if you still even like her.

I like the first one better, the second one she won't know what is going on and also it might look like you are a coward, do you know what I mean?
