Why would a guy ask how many children you want to have and boy or girl?

So...what goes through a guy's mind? What causes him to ask a female friend how many kids she'd like to have and how many sons/daughters? You know, questions like that.

Friends talk about stuff like that..even if they are a guy..on the other hand if he didn't aee you as a friend I can't see him asking you that question..its a.question that just friends normally talk about.

I don't believe in birth control... so probably like 20... lol, I don't really want that many, 4 is good, but I'd like a farm so the 20 kids could all help out...

i have had that conversation with a few guy friends as well. one who was only 23 and tells me he wanted a boy and girl lol.
