Guy, why does he ignore me when his wife shows up?

This guy at my work has a naturally flirty demeanour and everyone knows it. He has taken it a little far with me though and once he got in trouble for sexual harassment and was forced by his supervisor to apologize to me. He has since stopped being AS inappropriate, but he still likes to make his pervy comments on occasion.

Well even though he flirts with me alot( playful punches, finding reasons to touch me, talking to me all the time) ...whenever his wife shows up he completely ignores my existence. More so than normal. His whole demeanour gets anxious that me and his wife are even in the same room together.

Do you think he acts that way because he feels guilty? that's the only thing I can come up with. What would you say?

I would say he gets anxious because he knows it's wrong to flirt when he has a wife, and probably doesn't want to get caught in the act of philandering. He knows he is in the wrong but he still can't seem to stop, I'd say stay away because you don't want to be a home wrecker. Also he could be just a naturally flirty person and be ashamed of showing it when his wife is around because let's be honest no one wants to watch their spouse flirt with someone else.

Maybe. I mean he doesn't want to flirt with other girls in front of his wife, seems pretty straightforward to me. I would not be flattered by this kind of behavior if that was the point of finding this out. A married man flirting with a girl at work, and then hiding it in front of his wife, is nothing to be proud of.

Hes nervous because he doesn't want his wife to know...hes a jerk, loser, idiot.i feel sorry for his wife. Its not funny maybe fun to him but if his wife knew that was going on wow. I'm sure that would hurt her feelings what a snake.

Nope. He acts like that because he's not going to flirt in front of his woman. It's respect for the one he's with. A lot of people are flirty and playful with other people, but when you are with your SO you don't do it... You don't inspire jealousy in the one you love... He flirts with you because you flirt with him. It's a way to have fun in the office. It doesn't mean he wants anything from it, he's just having fun.

Likely his flirtatious behavior is a bone of contention between them. If she saw him flirting with you, it'd probably mean no sex for a month.

Well you ask the question as though you miss it. To answer your 2nd question, she's his wife and your his dirty little secret, I mean think about it, does his wife even know about the SH you filed against him? He's probably worried your gonna rat him out or do something 'out of the ordinary' office behavior.
