Is "Maybe a rain check" a good sign? OK need some advice on this girl.

Ok this girl in my class we have been talking and texting. Today I decided to sit next to her. Her friend was sitting on the other side of her and they were talking. She wouldn't even look at me, but started texting me. She said she is going to leave class early because she was tired. So I asked her if she wanted me to walk her to her car, and she said yes.

So about 5 minuets before she left. Her friend and her boyfriend got up and left. Then later I walked her to her car, and asked her out to a movie and my friends are going to see Friday. She said she had plans but said "maybe a raincheck" I gave her a hug and she left. SO my questions are, forgive me I got a few...

1. why wouldn't she look or talk to me in class?

2. did she have her friends early so she could walk alone with me.

3. Is "Maybe a rain check" a good sign?

4. She is also kind of slow to text me,and asks me for quarters and stuff sometimes.. Mean anything?

5. Is it OK to text her and ask her out since I already did in person? She is always with her friends.

6. I carried her book for her to her car. Smooth or stupid move?

Wait, you sat next to her, and rather than her turn and talk to you, she texted you? Am I getting this right? That behavior is really strange if you are easily within talking distance.

1) No idea. That one has me puzzled too.

2) I'm feeling like you are over thinking that one, honestly. I would say no.

3) Not really, she would have likely followed up with an alternative day for a date if she was truly interested. It's not as bad as a no, but it's not very good either.

4) Over thinking that one again. Some people are just slow texters, and asking for quarters from anyone is pretty regular.

5) Absolutely. Why wouldn't it be? Ask her if your rain check is still valid. See her response.

1) She's probably not interested. As you mentioned in your post, she has a boyfriend.

3) No, it's a very bad sign. Have you ever said "maybe a rain check" to a girl you were really interested in?

5) I wouldn't waste my time asking her out. She's not acting interested, plus she has a boyfriend, which means she's not available.

6) It wasn't a stupid move, but it doesn't help your cause. There's nothing wrong with acting like a gentleman, but you don't want to take that too far and start acting like a doormat.

That wasn't clear from your original post. However, when she said "maybe a rain check" when you asked her out, that was her way of trying to let you down easy. I would move on.

I somehow get the impression that you are being too much of a "nice " guy to her . Nice guys just don't generate enough "attraction" so to speak among women . Women will deny this ofcourse , but we all know this is true . I still don't understand why she was texting you instead of talking to you , you were right next to her !

My advice - forget about this girl or if you really want to get her , you have to stop being so nice . I'm not saying you should be a jerk , what you need is to have both in moderation .

I don't know man , generally if a girl is interested she'll try to make herself available to meet you . For instance if you say something like "let's hang out on Friday " , if she' s interested but really busy she'll decline and offer you an alternate date . The thing about your girl is she didn't really offer you an alternate day , so it doesn't seem like she's too interested . Again this is how girls generally behave . The only way to know for sure whether she's interested or not is to ask her
