I know this might all be stupid to you but this is really how I feel please reply kindly...

I have met the most perfect boy ever and even though he's far I'm willing to walk all the way to him. He makes me so happy and I love him. I just worry a lot that he might not love me. He tells me all the time, calls me beautiful and is just so sweet and caring. Except I know I'm not perfect even though he tells me I am I get very depressed, self harm and am not the prettiest girl out there so I can't help but question why am I the one he loves. Everyone thinks we're meant to be and we're cute and whatever but I just don't understand how I got this lucky. Is there any way to figure out the truth without asking him directly? I don't know I've been hurt before and I'm terrified of it happening again. I just really need to know. If you have any questions feel free to ask, everything will help. you should try not to get too excited since you don't really know this boy very well.

And you are right. many people think it's kind to encourage people, to say you'd be cute together, and he knows he is supposed to say your are beautiful and sweet.

So don't put too much trust into any of that, since he doesn't know you, either, and the people who say you are cute together, probably don't know either one of you very well.

Always listen to your instincts and act according to what you feel. If you do what other people say you should do,then you run the risk of finding out too late that something is wrong.

Thank you. That helped a lot. Its just that I was like best friends with him for like 3 weeks talking all the time, at night, during the day, during school etc. He would tell me he loved me but only as a friend because he liked how we could relate to each other. Then one day he said he was crushing on me. Then idk, after a couple days he officially asked me out and it has just been going on from there. I would trust him with my life but I just need a little closure I guess.

We don't choose our partners based on looks. Would leave him and go with other guy if he was hotter? You don't need to be the hottest woman on Earth to have a boyfriend, you only need to find someone who likes you. And no, liking someone is not about looks. If you believe so then it's just because you're too young and don't understand how relationships work.
