Yes it is possible but no I don’t think that is what it means. I think we want to be desired by others and it makes us feel good another person missed us. So the girl might be being direct in wanting to know if she was missed in her absence.
Yes I agree they miss you so they want to know if your missing them as well it brings you closer to the person

I don't agree at all. Some people just like asking that question because it makes them feel better about themselves and they like hearing you say that you missed them.
They either miss you, or just want to know what you feel for them. It could go both ways, but I'm leaning more toward "misses you."

usually, if they didn't care and miss you they wouldn't care if you missed them. But like anon said, if it's really often, it could be to feed their own ego.

They may miss you but I also feel that they are looking to be wanted. I notice this when I meet a lot of girls. It needs to be about them.

I HATE THIS. It always seems to desperate and insecure to me.
They looking for validation, that they are important to you.
It's like fishing for a compliment.
It doesn't mean as much if you have to ask, but some people just need that.
Yeah that's their tactics. They expect the guys to initiate. Coz apparently the shy guys are the evolutionary bottom.
When they say that too they want to make sure they aren't the only ones. It's almost like avoiding rejection
More like asking if you actually missed them...
The proper response to that is "With every shot thus far"
:D disarmed me..:D nice one!
Thanks! :)
well...is depending on the person, some will usually say it just to ask, and someothers will mean that they missed you

yyyes? I always understood it as a confirmation for them to know if you actually care about them enough to notice their absence.
"Did you miss me?" means "I miss you!" isn't necessarily true and/or mutual.
Sometimes. As a female when I ask a male that, I'm just being funny no meaning behind it.
I agree. LOL Its really a simple answer. Doesn't require much thought. Guess there are a lot of people missing people.lol
Only if u only asked once not multiple times and Not to a married man.
yes, but it is also a way of seeing how muh the other cares.
Did you miss me?" means "I need reassurance" and is independent of if they missed you or not.
Nailed it-
I agree. In rare cases, the person asking doesn't miss anyone but wants everyone to miss them.

I have always seen it as a clever way for them to indicate that they missed you.
nah, i dont. i like people who are pretty straight forward...
