  • Yeah, I don't think that eating a bunch of sugar, carbohydrates and pure fat (which contains 135 cal in one freaking spoon) is going to help you lose weight.

    You lose weight by counting your calories.
    All that nonsense about satiety, is just that - nonsense.
    The "feelings of satiety" have never been proven to reliably reduce actual food intake.

    Besides, the only fiber that is alleged to do this is the viscous soluble fiber in legumes, oats and some nuts.
    The only thing insoluble fiber does (most of fiber in grains, fruits and vegetables) is making your poop look more funky.

    And if you are going to stuff yourself with oats and beans and overdose yourself with carbs in the process, you may as well just have ribeye steaks, since they contain less calories.

      Olive oil is predominantly a monounsaturated fat, yes, but it also has a very high omega 6 to omega 3 ratio.
      Omega 6 fats are pro-inflammatory, and their overabundance in human diet is one of the leading causes of health issues in modern human societies.
      So it is hard to recommend olive oil, or any plant oil for that matter, as "healthy".

      "If you exercise" is a pointless argument.
      Just don't put unnecessary calories in yourself to begin with, so that you don't have to lose them later.

      Yes, there is math to figure out how much you should be consuming.
      And that math is everything, the rest is just being inefficient.

    • It's interesting, if I want to loose a few kilos, I eat breakfast, fast all day, work hard and have a big dinner, then exercise to tone muscle groups, I would also cut beer, bread, and Pasta out of my diet. Foods like chilli I eat because I like them, I didn't know they speed up your metabolism.
