No, the animal has already been killed and prepped for someone to eat, so if I didn't eat it someone else would or it would just go to waste

No, but then i have hunted for my meat a lot. i have also always made sure it was a clean kill so they did not suffer to much.

Even if it is a "clean kill" how does that justify killing an animal that doesn't want to die? Animals are sentient beings with feelings and emotions just like us. They have every right to live and we shouldn't take their rights away from them

@Pentagram_medallion It doesn't. Being poor and needing to eat, feed a family, and help the elders near me eat does. Our garden only held so much. So it came down to hunt to eat, or let Bambi walk by and starve.

If I hunt something like deer or squirrel or anything that I work for I thank it for it's life. But if it's a farm animal that I haven't raised I don't even think about it lol

If we're at the top of the food chain then why are we buying animals that were slaughtered for us instead of slaughtering them ourselves? Also why do we have weapons to kill them for us if we're at the top of the food chain? Also look at our anatomy compared to a natural meat eaters like a lions. Do we have sharp claws, large pointed sharp teeth, the ability to run super fast etc etc? Have you ever seen a lion go into a supermarket with a wallet and shopping cart to buy a slaughtered animal?

Don't you understand that we are not true natural born carnivores? Look at the evidence and think about it. Also what my main concern is the animals and environment I don't care what u eat as long as nobody is being harmed in the process I'm just trying to stand up for animals who are murdered unnecessarily and brutally. Also it has a huge impact on climate change. If you don't care about those and care about people, there are people starving in poor countries that we could feed with the grains fed to livestock also some people don't acc want to work in slaughterhouses and end up with mental health issues such as ptsd

No offense, but you're a little bit over the top. Humans have canines and incisors as part of our group of teeth. Those teeth are for gripping and cutting meat. We evolved that way because meat is a natural part of our diet.

No they don't. I don't eat meat but I don't see an issue with those who do. They are not killing the animal. The animal is already dead and whether eaten or not, the animal's life is gone.

I mean not really, especially since most animals are born and raised to be eaten, I know it's a messed up thing. But at my age I need protein, and if that's how the world works, so be it

You don't need to kill animals for protein. You can get plenty of protein on a plant based diet. Also in this world if something is wrong you shouldn't have the attitude of that's how the world works because if that was the case murder, rape, hate crime etc would still be legal

@Pentagram_medallion I actually get physically sick from eating some plants like avocado, or broccoli in larger amounts. I've puked many times from eating avocado. There's also others I'm intolerant of like squash family that I can't eat in larger amounts either.

Honestly if I couldn't eat meat I probably wouldn't be alive today, and it tastes amazing too.

@Pentagram_medallion just don't really, every time you eat anything some organism dies. Like I grow some herbs at home, there's always little bugs or spiders around it. Literally impossible to be 100 perce vegan.
Then the soil it self requires death of animals and other plants to grow a plant.

Yea that's true but you can't compare mass breeding and killing millions of animals to accidentally killing bugs and insects when eating plant based. Nobody is perfect even if you try to be perfect. All you can do is limit hurting others as much as you can and that's really makes a difference

      @Pentagram_medallion I don't see it that way.

I think no matter what way we eat in our current society we'll cause damage. I think personally other things like plastic are a bigger issue and having less plants and tress due to buildings and other toxins and pollutants.

I just see us as as no different to other animals who eat meat. I don't think they are bad. I feel like certain resources of vitamins are easily absorbed through animal consumption.

Yea but we can try to reduce the damage as much as we can. Yea all those are big issues but it is a fact that the meat industry is the biggest contribution to climate change and by stopping to eat meat or at least try reducing it that can help reverse climate change. Yea we are all equal to any other species but why don't we treat animals equally by letting them live? Also we can't really compare ourselves to a lion or tiger because they are natural carnivores which have claws, sharp teeth, the ability to run really fast, their anatomy is different to ours as their intestines are shorter and they can digest meat better and they can eat it raw whereas we can't. Also they don't mass breed and kill millions of animals a year and torture them throughout their lives. They actually need meat but we don't. It's actually not healthy for us. Also we can very easily get all nutrients and vitamins on a plant based diet

Lol I have very sharp teeth, it can bite through bone not sure about other people.

Our stomachs aren't strong enough to digest fibre.

Humans do eat raw meat e. g. steak tartar. I was raised eating aldente lamb meat and I loved it as a child.

I don't really know about other people but since I've been eating meat and dairy all my vitamin levels are in check and I have no health problems anymore. So I am not sure how you mean its unhealthy.

I really think being vegan actually can be as harmful for the planet because the amount of food you need to consume is a lot, e. g. not a lot grows in UK, its imported from other countries. The meat however is all local.

It has been proven vegan is the best for the planet and can help reverse climate change. Meat has been linked to many diseases such as heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, just to name a few. If you can eat raw meat go eat a raw chicken or something and see how long you last without getting food poisoning.

Lol meat doesn't give you cancer its the nitrates in the meat. Its the whole processing of meat.

And how exactly is getting million brazil nuts to provide a vegan from a small country better than eating one chicken that comes from a local farm a week bad? I think there's definitely some poor scientific research going on to push a certain lifestyle amgonst the middle class.
