Do you like good, home brewed coffee? What kind to you like? What is your technique?

I buy 5lb bags of ground, French roast robusto from a company called Cafe Justo. It's 100% organic, shade grown, and the company is owned by the indigenous farmers who produce it.

I heat water from my well in a kettle. I put three measures of grounds into my 24oz French press. I pour in the boiling water, give it a stir, and then wait 6-10 minutes for it to brew.

I have two 12oz travel mugs with sippy lids. I pour a couple oz of coffee into each one, add a level tsp of Fair Exchange hot coco mix, and stir. Then I fill the mugs to within a 1/2" from the top and add cold, whole milk. The milk helps to cool the coffee off enough to drink.

I usually make a second batch later in the day by leaving the old grounds in the French press and adding one more fresh scoop of coffee. Sometimes I just drink it black.

48 oz of coffee lasts me all day.
