You're sure you saw your mother do it once so you give it a go.. So How do you boil an egg?
Do you know how to boil an egg without using the Internet?

I voted 'C'. I forget how long to let them sit after you have turned off the flame and covered the pot. 10 minutes or so? Then you put them in ice water for about 15 minutes.
I haven't boiled an egg for a while though. My wife does it in a pressure cooker, then puts them in ice water. They turn out perfectly and the shells slide right off.
I like hard boiled eggs and egg salad sandwiches. We also mix hard boiled egg into tuna salad, along with celery, pickle relish and mayo.
I cheat - I have one of these:
A couple of tablespoons of water and you get PERFECTLY boiled eggs every time, except they're steamed instead of boiled. You don't even have to watch them - you put in the water, put in the eggs, close the lid, and press the button. When the freaky alarm goes off (it's very strange, for some reason), which takes about 5 minutes, you have perfect hard-boiled eggs.
Sure, I could make them the old way - I did that for decades - but these things are $15, don't take up much space so not a huge pain to store - and a 5-year-old could make perfect hard-boiled eggs with one of these.
If you don't get that expression on the egg, you're not doing it right. You've got to hear the screams.
I voted B. Though I might just buy them a hard boiled egg at the cafeteria lol.

I usually do it like this:
Drop in cold water, wait for the water to boil and let it boil for 2:30min, turn of the heat and let it sit for another 30sec. That way you usually got a perfect egg with hard eggwhites and a creamy eggyolk.
It depends on the consistency I want to get both of the egg white and of the yolk. I dislike hard yolk egg; it has a smell that is disgusting. I prefer a soft consistency of the yolk, usually cooked for 6-7 minutes. Even the best thing is cooking at a low temperature around 63 ° C for an hour.
At first ask how you want your eggs. Depends on what you want do you want a soft-boiled egg or hard boiled egg. Depends on time. For soft boiled egg🥚 you start with boiling water place a little bit of salt in the water. Once the water is boiling you add one or two eggs and cook for 4 minutes. Medium boiled eggs 7 minutes. And a hard boiled egg will take 10 minutes once the water is boiling.
I say drop it in boiling water for x amount of minutes I don't know if it's 3 or 7th LOL but I'm more curious about is how long the cavemen used to do it that's what I'm really curious about and how many cavemen would one egg feed
I most often do A but B was the way I did it when I first learned. C I think is specific for a soft boiled egg.
I'll admit, i usually google it. But I also boil eggs only a handful of times a year.
You should specify if you want it soft or hard.
And how you want the egg too...
C, X=12. (Although we have an egg steamer that also works well.)
Boil water.
Insert egg of any temperature.
Return to boil then start timer.
5 minutes = soft.
6 minutes = hard.
You lost me at "hot date." I started imagining a Russian brunette going down on me.
I’ve fried eggs, but someone boiled for me when I had a boiled egg. Now, I am against the eating of eggs, unless they’re taken from the garbage.
Vegans don't eat eggs,
but get their eggs eaten 😂
That sounds simple enough, thumbs through my Betty crocker cook book for water, boiled.
Close to 15 minutes of hot boiling water and then take it off and let it cool off
Yes, hard boiled, runny, sunny side up, scrambled, whatchu' need fam?
Place it in your grandmas microwave for 12 minutes and go drink a beer
I voted A. In cold water and then boil for 3 mins
Open the kettle, fill with water and eggs and turn on for 5 minutes
I prefer poached so I don't time it I just watch it.
