It's interesting and I'm sure you like it. I never developed a taste for plantains, though my then-wife's mother cooked them in just about every meal.

oh my God they are soooooo different. Trust me. That means you don't know much about them. Bananas can be eaten as seen but plantains require cooking or roasting and seasoning. plantains are only sweet when ripe and can then be fried but banana is terrible for frying because it is so soft already.
