Any good recipes without onions?

I really love using onions but the thing is there is an onion shortage going on in our country and they are so expensive now. Lots of the food i cook calls for onions but i'm looking for food that don't normally call for it.

I'm sick of getting garlic breath but I have no other choice.

I like to make cabbage soup using carrots, tomatoes, potatoes and cabbage and oil and lots of salt. You can choose how many of each ingredient you use. Some use 2 carrots and some use 10. Some roast the carrots for 5 minutes and some do it for 20. The only rule is the potatoes have to be boiled at least 30 minutes and if you don’t use a lot of tomatoes, you will need lots of water and salt as compensation. I recommend at least 6 medium tomatoes or more.

Buy onion powder or dried minced onion online to fill the void.


Or use garlic instead for now.(need much less garlic than you would onions as garlic is much stronger.)

There are lot of Italian pasta dishes just with garlic, but they need often Parmesan or Gorgonzola which aren't cheap and don't taste without those cheeses.

Check Pinterest for recipes or try myfridgefood. com, you just put everything you have in your pantry and fridge and they offer recipes using what you have only. So no onions.
