Do you get powder sugar? If so do you ask for extra
When you go to the fair, is their any food, that you got to get?

It depends - I live near Chicago and they have a ton of street fests in the summer. The neighborhood restaurants come out and sell food at stands. I love Greek fest the best and yes, we usually eat there. German fest and the Italian fest also have good food! 💛
If it's just a regular carnival-like fest, I usually skip the eats. There was only one carnival that I got something I loved. It was crab cakes served chicago hot dog style - no actual hot dog. It was so yummy, I saved a picture to recreate it.
That does look yummy are the long green things hot peppers?
@SawerBrown yes, they're hot sport peppers and one pickle spear. There's also Chipotle mayo, corn salsa, and celery salt over the crab cakes. It was really good, also really big.
I've only tried to recreate them once...
*..*. sighs..**.*
it was good just not quite as good. 🙃

For years, a friend of mine and I would head to the Wisconsin State Fair every year, since the plague of frying everything with canola oil wasn't going anywhere, and I figured THOSE people would know how to make fried food taste good, if anyone did. And they did. Short of a dog-themed restaurant making "deep fried sticks on a stick", pretty much anything I could think of, someone tried. Deep fried spaghetti and meatballs on a stick? Check. Bacon-wrapped fried beer? Check. Deep friend s'more sundae? You got it. (For the record, it WAS just as tasty as it sounds, and I DID tell my buddy "If I keel over from this, tell everyone I died happy").
The nice thing is that the fair's website releases a list, weeks beforehand, of all the new stuff that's been added, and who's selling it.
The one thing that my wife and I get every time is funnel cake. We share one.
Where else but a fair can you even get funnel cake?
Sometimes a snowball or one of those tall lemonade cups but thats it. Fair food smells so yummy but it looks so unappealing and tastes so mediocre. So i just dont eat it
Last time i went, i was determined to get a chicken on a stick but they put pickles in mustard inside of most and thats disgusting. I want the one thats chicken only
@exitseven i dont even like regular oreos so i know i wouldn't like em fried
@exitseven im not a cookie person. As a kid i would lick the icing in the middle but even that wasn't as good after

TBH I only buy the drinks like a soda or something. I tried food once and the burger was a greasy ass peice of burnt meat on dry stale ass buns. Waste of my damn money for 7 dollars.
Corn dogs
Cotton Candy
Cheese fries
Nachos
Tacos
And I love the milkshakes there as well
Mozzarella corn dogs, loaded fries, mini chicken bites
Definitely strawberry funnel cake or elephant ears as a close second.
Powdered sugar just comes on top of it with the strawberries & syrup, no extra needed.
Nope. Fairs here are not clean. You are bound to get some infection. Better clean up and eat in a restaurant somewhere.
My last time going I went for fried Oreos and that will be a constant in my life from here on. Hahah it was SOOO good!
If they have hand-dipped corn dogs, I'll definitely grab one of those.
Funnel Cake or the entire trip to the fair has been wasted.
I don't go,
One, the state fair is a 4 hr drive away
Second, it's way to expensive and not worth it
Mini brown sugar donuts. They are best when you get them hot and are so greasy you can almost see through the brown paper bag
I love the smell of a true corn dog, onion rings. Later on I love the old turkey burgers with barbecue sauce. An any sausages that may have.
The word "their" means belong to someone, "there" is just pointing to something or place, such as look over there for your friends and you will see their car. Smile.
I just came back from the fair hours ago. It was awesome I just grab what I like
toffee apple, roasted chestnuts, candy floss,
I typically grab a funnel cake.
Yes I love the sausage and peppers and the funnel cake
Funnel cakes!!!
The cream puffs or the strawberry shortcake. I'm not a big fan of fried dough.
Carmel or red candies 🍎 apples.
Tornado 🌪 potato? Que papas
Thanks for like!
I don't know if they sell any of those there
I doubted that too
Que papas used to be available at some pizza huts. I think they are version of tater tots or bit similar to jalapeño poppers
Tornado potato is also not easily available thing as far I know
I haven't have jalapeño poppers so I don't know what they are like
