A rugby fan at the world cup has made headlines after screwing up his French and ordering 14 French fry baguettes instead of 4.
Which got me thinking, I've had many a chip butty in soft bap but I've never had French fries in a baguette.

I think of calories the same way I think of money, I won’t pay a high cost unless it’s a superior product so 800 calories of steak is good but 800 calories of unflavoured fries is a waste of my calorie budget. I don’t mind 800 calories of poutine, but not unflavoured fries on a hot dog or fries with ketchup.
I've had white sliced bread chip sandwiches, baguette is probably well nice to use!
Who cares! It's Rugby world cup, order extra beers and sit down... Fiji won against the wallabies, fries in baguette is the least i would worry about
C'est une grande screw-up. Pour moi, jamais que j'ai chips en baguette.

I've never had them in any type of bread before. But I do love fries!
Zut alors - french fries in a baguette sounds very un-French !
No, but it has two of the three main food groups so it sounds good to me.
This makes it kind of trans baguette?
I don't argue with omnivores.
Where: 'omni' here is used in its trans meaning
Too many carbohydrates. It would put me into a coma.
I prefer to have the fries in a box, tried fries in a pita sandwich and both are good...
What's the point of having carbs with carbs?
Westerners are fat enough as it is.
Sounds good, pomme de terre frites? Qui
I've never had them in any form of bread!
Yep, a chip butty.
No no. The carbs aren’t even worth it
Non - Das geht NICHT!
Non, I've never had fries in a baguette
Gotta love the French 😋
Never tried it.
