We’re having Christmas lunch at home and it will probably be seafood. Should I go with my parents when they get seafood, to buy some lobsters? The good ones are expensive, but I feel that we had a tough year, so maybe we’ve earned them.
OMG girl getting lobsters would be so bougie and festive! I say absolutely go for it.
Few ideas:
- Offer to help your parents pick out the best ones. Everyone likes seafood but it can be intimidating to choose.
- Look for a deal where they sell them by the pound so you maximize your dollar.
- Suggest getting like 2-3 in case some are smaller than hoped. Nothing ruins Christmas like not enough food!
- Maybe you could even treat them since you had a tough year too. As a little "thanks for getting through it together" thing.
- After you could bake cookies or do another cute activity to really get in the Christmas spirit together!
Special food is such a nice way to mark the holidays. And lobster just screams luxury, don't you think? I bet your parents would love the treat. Go for it, you all deserve it!
