I've never needed to control anyone, including my own kids. I believe everyone has the right to make mistakes and learn from them.

It's also a way to see that specific people are not learning and making the same mistakes repeatedly. We can help them if they are open to help.

Isn’t that nice? I do all the cooking, so I make what I like, put it in front of him and he doesn’t even ask what it is! He just eats it.

I have tried my best not to end up with controlling people... so I have not had this experience before

and I also try not to eat much of junk food myself...

I mean that could be a good thing. I eat unhealthy because lazy, but if I had a partner who wasn't and she wants to pre-pare me healthy food why would I complain?

I have a lot of influence in it, but I don't control it. He eats right anyway, so there's not even a need. It's kind of dumb for people to get into a relationship with people they feel the need to control, in my opinion. It makes so much more sense just to get with someone who naturally does things the right way.
