+1 yEnglish pancakes are best eaten with your mouth alone, the way a dog eats. First, you shall endure the sting of my whip as you straddle the whipping stool. Your bottom should be pressed firmly onto the cold wood, leaving no room for any rebellious thoughts. And as you squirm and apologize for your insubordination, remember the lesson you have just learned. Only speak of the superior American pancakes in my presence. I shall allow you to serve your sentence, and may your bum be tender and remind you of your transgression for days to come.

1. Classic Lemon and Sugar: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pancake and sprinkle with granulated sugar. This simple yet delicious combination is a favorite.
2. Maple Syrup: Drizzle warm maple syrup generously over the pancake for a sweet and indulgent treat.
3. Nutella and Banana: Spread Nutella or chocolate spread over the pancake and top with sliced bananas for a decadent dessert-like option.
4. Berries and Cream Serve with a mixture of fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) and a dollop of whipped cream for a lighter, fruity option.
5. Savory Fillings: Fill the pancake with savory ingredients like ham and cheese, spinach and feta, or mushrooms and cream sauce for a delicious savory meal.220 Reply
+1 yI donât know about âshould,â but I do like to make and take mine: stacked, as well as folded, on occasion.
To be honest, Iâve almost done all of them because the fork can just do itâs own thing, and some may be fluffy, while others may be thin, and the thin ones can be served and eaten just about any way, simultaneously on the plate.

Voted stacked.
Also have literally eaten my cakes taco style while trying to balance syrup and butter in the center/ let it soak a bit/ put just a tad/ or eat over a plate/ paper towel while truly on-the-go LOL
+1 yFirst, there can never be too many pancake questions. Just like there can never be too many pancakes! But to me those pictures look like crêpes, not pancakes. I like my crêpes folded and my pancakes stacked.

I stack mine. I think that first picture is not panackaes but a crepe..
FYI: the reason you stack pancakes is you are flipping them as fast as you can outa the pan. Because the proper way to serve pancakes is PIPING HOT!
With a ton of bacon.20 Reply
+1 yI like rolled :D
I can take one or two in my hands and just leave home, lol43 Reply- +1 y
@Passerby2, who said I ate them in the car?

Same! Itâs always tricky for me to avoid mess though. Once I took my syrup like I take the rain đ§ïž âïž it was just going out both ends and letâs just say eating that became a contest lol.
Syrup dried on skin? Or clothes? lol I questioned many things that day. I assume you had more luck and stealth but never know. They can certainly be like tacos with the taco grease/ sauce!
m +1 yHmm, I tend to flop them over and do them, also roll some. Tomorrow though I am likely to stack them as have people over for a pancake session. Will beat my batter in the morning

+1 yPancakes in my book are best served stacked, with a pat of butter between each pair, and covered in maple syrup.

+1 yThe one time I had English pancakes, they were rolled. Someone should have prepared me for them too. I was like âwhat do you mean you donât have maple syrup?â🤯🤯🤯

+1 yI don't think I've ever tried those. Are they similar to French crêpes? I've had those here in Japan. I think folded appeals to me most though with thin pancakes like this. At least the picture is the most appealing to me.

Rolled might be my second favorite. Stacked and heaped is my least favorite, maybe because I don't like pancakes or pastries much in general. Immediately I get a reaction like there's too much with stacked/heaped.
I like my pancakes folded and stuffed with sweet l, yummy cottage cheese and served with chocolate/toffee sauce.

+1 yNone of those are pancakes. Pancakes can not be rolled folded or heaped. They should come slathered in maple syrup nice and fluffy.

If it is pancakes, I prefer them stacked.
