It depends on what I'm in the mood for.

There is an independent pizza place near us that has the best pizza. The toppings I always get are pepperoni and chopped garlic. OMG! It's so good!

But Italian restaurants have a variety of pasta dishes. I rarely get spaghetti with meat sauce. One of my favorites is muscles or frutti di mare in a white wine, garlic butter sauce on linguini. Cioppino is also great. But I look at the menu and choose what looks good, depending on my mood.
Caesar salad, pasta puttanesca, fettuccini Alfredo with scampi, lobster ravioli, scaloppini, saltimbocca, tiramisu, ...
My wife and I usually have a glass or two of wine, as well.

There are strictly pizza places, but almost invariably, any restaurant that has pasta is also going to have pizza.

I love my local pizza place, but there are local pasta places that make a pretty good pizza also, but they can't top the pizza of my preferred pizza place.

So, that being said, if I want pizza, I go to the pizza place.
If I want pasta, I go to the pasta place.

If I'm in with a party of other people, some of whom want pasta, we'll go to a pasta place, where I may order pizza or pasta.

I have no clear answer to your question as it is worded, but that is my decision-making process regarding pizza and pasta.

Pizza. It’s more reliable. 🍕 💯 👍 it’s not common for people to be able to mess up a pizza recipe or undercook a pizza. Don’t need too much culinary background either or recipe following precision because the cheese (for me) is usually what MAKES the pizza.
