I don't have hangovers anymore because of what I consume to prevent them.
In short, when you get shitfaced, your liver is working overtime metabolizing to get rid of the toxin of alcohol in your system. For that, your liver needs two critical ingredients: B vitamins and water (preferably a good mineral water like Topo Chico or Gerolsteiner).
So, at the end of a night of drinking, drink a large amount of water - like a liter - and pop a Super B Complex vitamin or two.

Sure, you'll have to pee like a racehorse during the night probably more than once, but you will feel better by morning.
I haven't had a hangover in 20 years.
I used to eat a pile of scrambled eggs.
- Herring rollmops.
- Kashubian style herring
- Herring salad
The alcoholic witch in me from my former life loves herring,
or maybe I was a seagull in my former existences
Sausage, bacon or eggs, and a lot of water
Hey! So, you're diving into how I tackle those rough mornings after a night out, right? Here I am on Girls Ask Guys, musing about food (as usual), and hangover days are no exception. Personally, I'm all about that comfort food that hugs your soul back to life. Although the items you've listed sound like they'd hit the spot (especially if you're into hearty, cheesy goodness early in the day), I tend to lean towards something a tad less fast food-oriented. A big bowl of ramen is my go-to. It's like magic. The broth, the noodles, a soft-boiled egg... It's soothing and has that salty kick to bring me back from the dead. And if I'm feeling adventurous, nothing beats a classic Italian carbonara - it's got carbs, eggs, and cheese, what's not to love? 🍜🍳 Throw in a glass of water or some electrolyte-packed drink, and I'm ready to conquer the world again (or at least my living room).

In college it was drink a tall glass of Pedialyte and then go to get breakfast somewhere. Usually IHOP
Yeah, @scott04sa22, Pedialyte is good too. Hospitals will give things like Pedialyte to help get over sickness. It's all about hydration combined with minerals and nutrients to help your metabolism.
Cup ramen noodles. So yummy.. it’s mainly the broth that I really like. If it’s super hot it soothes me
Last time I was hungover it was years and I ate foie gras and saint jaques because it was new years
You have? OO I thought you don't drink.
@KostasKouvalis I don't drink this happened years ago when I was 21 and we went to a very fancy restaurant with my grandparent they served us wine and champagne with every dishes plus a cup of vodka with abricot ice cream, I drank it cause I didn't want to be impolite.
Oh NO! That is the worst! I wasn't hungover, but I threw up while celebrating my 19th birthday with my dad's family. My cousin made this delicious coffee liquor. She said maybe I shouldn't drink anymore, but then my aunt said, "You'll feel better if you drink more." So my cousin said it'll be fine, so I did. That was probably the most I've ever drank. I didn't want to seem like a wimp, because when we were celebrating my cousin's birthday, I only drank one beer and they thought I was a wimp, especially my uncle.
But I completely understand about not wanting to be impolite. In one of my classes, we would go on bike rides. One time the professor took us to a restaurant and bought each of us a giant mug of beer. My head was pounding from the intense bike ride, but I was like, "Fuck. He paid for it and I can't really offer it to someone else, so I HAVE to drink it now. Thankfully I was okay, but I hate when I'm pressured into drinking.
I'm glad you were okay
@KostasKouvalis Alcohol culture is so annoying always forcing people to drink even if they don't want to, it's tiring especially having to deal with headache after, now I just refuse any drink even if I'm impolite, getting drunk one time was enough for me, it hurted ways too much; I literally needed 2 days to get good again.
Now they don't buy me drink anymore as I've made sure to always refuse any drinks and be very clear on it. If I begin drinking with them then they do not stop, last years they tried to pressure me into drinking wine at 10 in the morning, like what they're crazy, I drank lemonade instead and then they drank wine until it was 2 pm... we literally had to go to eat at the bar we were at because this was the only restauant that was still open at this hours, etc...
And he did this on multiple occasion...
Like drinking a bit of wine or whisky is ok but drinking at 10 am no way that's just crazy especially since it was so hot outside I was melting
I'm kind of glad my co-worker's party fell through because she had already established that I would be playing beer pong with her friends, so I don't know what I would have done.
I get lightheaded after just one drink.
Jeeze! That sounds terrible.
Yeah my aunt was giving me shit for drinking beer at 10 in the morning in Greece, but when she came to visit us she was drinking wine on our patio in the morning, and even our neighbor said it was inappropriate.
Yeah that's how my dad gets, when he starts drinking again he doesn't stop. And a lot of my dad's family don't seem to know when to stop. I got into an argument with my uncle during his birthday, then a few days later my cousin's wife said that her family left early, because she can always sense when there's a fight about to happened. So she wasn't at all surprised when I told her what happened.
I drank a little when I was a teenager. I never got drunk, but I kind of just wanted to try it, especially stuff from other countries, and also it's illegal here until you're 21, but so many teenagers were doing it.
My mom has an aversion to alcohol and me drinking because of my dad. But I mainly don't drink here, because they always ask for my ID and it's so tiring, so I don't even bother. But if I go to another country, I'll have a drink with dinner. But I would never pressure anyone to drink who doesn't want to. My cousin from my mom's side was doing it to me too. Even my uncle was pissed, though he later started drinking himself. And my aunt from my dad's side gave alcohol to my 8 year old nephew. His mother was furious!
I dont get hang overs because i stopped alcohol. I just ate filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Now im waiting on a homemade salted caramel cookie with almond toffee, ghirardelli chocolate chips, and caramel with pretzel.
Nothing, because I gave up drinking alcohol when it became legal for me to drink.
Drink a liter of water before bed and you won't have a hangover.
Helps, but doesn’t prevent altogether
I understand that. It always worked for my phsyilogy and I had friends who just stumble to piss 5x after all that water and STILL had a hangover!
I wish my Taco Bell had breakfast!
Never been hungover, I never drink alcohol.
