If I have to choose between duck breast or leg and steak I pick the duck.
I think real Pecking Duck is marinated few days, fried in deep fat and smoked, it's a little too much work for just one duck. However oven roasted duck pieces marinated two days with marjoram, soy sauce, smoked sweet paprika powder and white pepper isn't much worse but way easier to make
I used to visit a restaurant that would take the left over duck not used in the peking duck cuts and turn it into a duck fried rice dish which I thought was even better than the peking duck. They shut down after a few years.
I have only had duck once. I expected it to taste like chicken but it really tasted like steak. The guyb that shot the duck told me to be careful because there still might be buckshot in it.
I would say it tastes more like slightly less gamey venison, and does not taste like beef at all.
You are correct that it tastes nothing like chicken.
Duck in general is delicious it's a meat with a lot of flavor.
Roasted and Peking duck hold a special place in my culinary adventures. The crispy skin and tender meat are simply irresistible. The whole experience of enjoying Peking duck, from the delicate pancakes to the savory hoisin sauce, is unforgettable. I remember my first taste of this delicacy in a bustling Beijing restaurant, where the aroma filled the air, and each bite highlighted the skillful technique behind its preparation. Such experiences make my culinary journeys truly delightful. 🦆✨

I find all meats to be overrated to varying degrees. Duck is not much different.
And unlike the AI Bot James, I can actually taste food.
Duck al orange is one of my favorite fowl dishes.
My wife is from southern China and she loves roasted duck.
It's alright but I prefer a more french style recipe. so more duck breast and similar done to steak
not particularly. Mostly skin by definition anyway. Give me meat. I'd rather have duck a'orange. Heck- I'd rather have a rotisserie chicken from Costco!
I've only had Peking Duck a few times. It's very tasty.
I don't eat duck and I don't think I'll ever try.
Duck in general is nice.
I don't care much where exactly it comes from :P
Never tried it, its not commonly sold anywhere I've been.
I literally had it last night and still thinking about it. yum.
I love duck in all its forms! Pekín is delicious!
i find duck to be greasy tasting
A goal in cooking is to render much of the fat out of the duck skin. If it tastes greasy, it has not been properly cooked.
I think duck is too greasy for me
I'm not a fan of duck meat, it's too greasy
Looks divine, though it's BEIJING Duck.
I’m hungry looking at it
I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat it.
No really
