Haven’t had either for 20-30 years. Had them as a kid because I didn’t know better. As I got older, I took a trip to another country, didn’t have soda there.
I tried soda after I came back, it was so gross that I stop drinking ever since.
if I do a test now, I would be a terrible candidate and most likely spit out both and not know the difference.
I believe there is no significant difference.
Ahaha right?
I've never heard of anybody using Pepsi to clean the gunk from their car engine!
I did a blind cola test and coca cola was the only one I got right. All I knew going into the test was that I really dislike it. So from all the colas I was forced to taste for that class and guess which brand I picked coca cola as whatever I found most disgusting. So I assume if I had to do it again i'd have a similar result.
Why would you drink either inferior beverage when we have Dr. Pepper? Make it make sense B!! 🤔
@DrPepper12 Good one.
As a culinary explorer, taste differences are fascinating. Coke and Pepsi showcase distinct profiles. Coke tends to have a smoother, slightly vanilla-forward flavor, while Pepsi offers a sweeter, citrusy note. Blindfolded, I focus on this subtle variance. Personal experience has shown it's often challenging, but also exciting to test these nuances. 🥤 The adventure lies in sharpening the senses beyond just sight.

Absolutely I can. Pepsi tastes sweeter and has a "cheaper" aftertaste.
The difference has always been significant. “The Pepsi challenge” wasn’t so much about fooling people because they couldn’t tell the difference. It was about showing that Pepsi supposedly had the more palatable formula as long as people don’t start from a biased perspective. Personally, i always preferred Coke. Pepsi is usually too sweet, but i don’t refuse to drink it. The soda wars are going strong. It’s near impossible to find an establishment that serves both from a fountain. If i’m craving soda and they only have Pepsi, i drink Pepsi. No big deal.
Maybe? I haven’t had either in quite a few years. I think Pepsi was a little more sweet. Someone told me that the key difference was lemon juice in Coke and orange juice in Pepsi, but that was also back when I was a kid. before the internet, and adults would just tell you shit that was wildly incorrect and you would just walk around believing it as fact until you found out otherwise years later, if ever😂
Did you really believe that? I mean you must have tasted it yourself so, why would you believe that? Your opinion made me so intrigued until I read the rest of it xD
@YourFutureEx I mean, I scored very highly on aptitude tests when I was little. But I also ate the paste in kindergarten. IF YOU DON’T WANT ME TO EAT IT, THEN DON’T MAKE IT TASTE MINTY!😤😂
As I think more about it, the person who I think told me about it also told me that the ingredients of Dr. Pepper, in different measurements, make anti-freeze….. so maybe I should’ve stopped listening to that guy sooner😂😂😂
I took the Pepsi Challenge (Taste Test) years ago, could easily tell Coke from Pepsi. Pepsi is sweeter.
I drink Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. To me, Diet Coke has a "hotter" taste while Diet Pepsi tastes too sweet. But I don't know how I would fare in a blind taste test.
Yes, and a camper wanted to make a pepsi challenge at the summer camp carnival, but worried no kids can tell the difference. I said make 3 choices cola, coke pepsi rc! Kids must put right name by right cup! So he made a booth. I got all 3 right and won many tickets!
Yes I absolutely can. A friend of mine actually did this test on me. I picked each one correctly. Pepsi is a lot sweeter than coke and there's an after taste
If they are made "to spec", usually. Coke has more subtle undertones, more complexity, especially from a touch of neroli in it. Pepsi is less subtle, more simple. Bonus -- RC tastes like the cola syrup in the sno-cones we used to get at our local Kresge's (RIP).
Probably. Mainly because I haven't drank a Pepsi in who knows how long.
I no longer drink soda, but yes, there’s definitely a difference.
nope because pepsi definitely changed its formula smh taste so flat now like coke
Good question. I haven't had either in over 20 years.
Yes I can tell the deference, especially now here in the UK that Pepsi have substituted a large portion of the sugar with Acesulfame K, Sucralose in their "Regular" Cola.
Yes, because Pepsi is smoother and coke really fucks up my stomach.
I haven't had Coke in at least 20 years, and my last Pepsi was probably closer to 40 years. I would not know one from the other.
I think Pepsi has a slightly more caramel and honey blend taste to it while coke tastes a little more citrus, childish and underdeveloped in the types of taste buds it hosts.
When blindfolded, the majority of respondents claim to be able to tell Coke from Pepsi. They note that Pepsi is noticeably sweeter and has a syrupy aftertaste, whereas Coke is smoother and has a faint vanilla flavor. Blind taste tests reveal subtle flavor differences, as demonstrated by experiments such as the "Pepsi Challenge."

No! It’s been years since I had a fizzy drink. The taste is too sharp. I prefer fruit juice.
I can. Coke taste but stronger, but spicy while Pepsi taste sweeter. 🤔
it's not difficult for me... I can even tell the difference between glass, can, plastic bottle, American and Mexican Coca~Colas...
I never had Pepsi but I feel coke has a distinct enough taste that I could probably tell the difference.
Coca Cola tastes more bitter and acidic, while Pepsi is more sweet (applies to standard and Zero Sugar); however, for Diet variants, I can't tell them apart
Easily. If you gave me a glass and it could be either I think I would pick it. If there was a glass of both most certainly.
yes, both are nasty but taste good with pizza. they are a good grease cutter.
Yes I can , Coke has a stronger taste , Pepsi has a sweeter taste
I don't want to, but I probably could. I hate both, but I hate Pepsi more because it tastes watery and weak.
Yes I can, mostly because I prefer Pepsi.
It's sweeter and has better aftertaste.
No, I'm not from New York, I'm from Europe.
Like coffee vs tea.
Of course, but they are not as good as many years ago
I can coke has better flavor. If they have Pepsi I go With water.
Easily piece of cake my choice Pepsi
By taste - yes.
I can't, I don't like soda in general lol
Yes, I can always tell the difference.
Yes. That’s would be easy.
Yes easily!
I'm allergic to one and not the other. So def.
I can if I get to taste one of them.
Yh there are no much difference in the taste
