11 moWe mainly have vegetables in our garden. Green beans, cucumbers, zucchinis, cherry tomatoes, pink lady tomatoes, roma tomatoes, and onions. The only fruit we have is the small apple tree (we've had it for years).

Our fig tree has fruit right now. I love figs!
Some of the herbs in our garden are really happy. They have been growing for years and are well established.
We have veggie gardens and everything looks happy, but the ones that are producing the most right now are tomatoes (several varieties), cucumber, yellow squash, onions, chives, cantaloupe, some strawberries, and lots of blackberries from a huge bush that we trim back every year.10 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.

11 moBecause of the military background and the moving around constantly, I don't really get to indulge in much more than herbs in pots. I have a dream though of growing sweet potatoes, having one of every kind of fruit tree and growing cane.
I just get some kind of weird joy out of growing things that are consumable in general. I grew marijuana for the longest time and I don't even smoke it. I just like giving people weed to smoke and watch them think it's the best shit ever to get free bud and a whole lot of it as well. Back when I was poor, I was pretty well known for giving a pound of it in exchange for a couple 12 packs of beer. I would just ask for the beer... not make a deal for it... I would just gift them like they gifted me my drug of choice.

I have a tower unit for tomatoes and whilst it is the southern winter, one is still growing but not fruiting. Aside from tangy tomatoes I grow for the leaves and it gives me shade in the hot summer (it is a tower :) ).
Aside from that I grow tubs of basil. Currently Chervil & Coriander. Will try dill nearer spring. I will be buying more tubs to double up the basil & pesto production.
Planning to grown mushrooms and reading up.
I exorcised the possum a few months ago but not before he devastated the tomatoes so I am hoping this year will be a good year.

11 moGreen beans, because I can just rinse them off and eat them, they are delicious! Cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, because I make salads and I put those in it, although, sometimes I'll have the radishes on the side, along with green onions. I also plant watermelon and strawberries. I want to plant sweet 🌽 one of these years but it's easier just to buy it from stands on the side of the road lol and it's always really good!

Anonymous(30-35)11 moMainly tomatoes. I like cooking Italian food, and there's nothing better than Italian sauces made with fresh tomatoes. I grow mainly sauce tomatoes like San Marzanos, but I also have some heirlooms and cherries.
I also grow some a herbs. This season I have basil, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme, mint, dill and cilantro (coriander). I like to cook with fresh herbs but I don't like paying grocery store prices for them. And it's nice to just walk out the backdoor and snip some herbs when I need them.

11 moI like Japanese Eggplant, so I grow those. When they start thriving, it is hard to keep up with them and I end up giving a lot away. This year I planted some tomatoes. I am growing Pink Brandywine and they taste great. Again, I can't keep up with all of them that I get and I give some away. I also planted 80 sunflowers and about 60 of them grew. But out of those, about 30 are thriving. I have to keep up with harvesting the flowers because they tend to weigh down the plant.
00 Reply We have cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, lots of different herbs, tomatoes. Probably more that I can't remember right now. 🙈
Favorite tomatoes. Most useful compared to the ammount of work you put into it.11 Reply4.9K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I used to have a vegetable garden. I grew carrots, cucumbers , peas and tomatoes. I also grew pumpkins and one year I put in a couple of rows of corn. Thr last couple of years the bunnies were eating all my stuff so I have not done it for a couple of years.

11 moYes. Tomatoes, cukes, pickling cukes, yellow beans, lettuce, raspberries, strawberries, basil, mint, oregano. These are the things that will grow for use and still fit in rather confined areas. Tomatoes and cukes are growing on trellises.
