Whys is CANDY CORN most popular in the US middle-of-the-country states?

Why do you think that is?

Could it be that's where most of the country's real corn is grown?

Or maybe because those states are mostly conservative, while candy corn is less popular in liberal states?

It's just caramel cooked at a lower temperature with different food coloring and packaging. People eat it all over the country, they are just convinced they are buying something else by gimmicky marketing schemes. In the corn belt, where people grow a lot of corn and harvest in the fall, obviously the corn shape and fall colors are appealing. If you go to a Democrat city, they like their caramel to be darker and rounder sometimes with peanuts and sometimes without like a turd because they have lots of sewers in places like New York City so that theme works better with that crowd.

People that live in more natural areas like imagery like corn in marketing because it matches their lifestyle... People in unnatural areas like NYC cook their dinner with poop gas from the sewage plant so they think turd shaped candy is of higher quality. different strokes for different folks. Marketing teams play to those differences to move product.

It's just kind of a iconic candy in our states and with us being the farming states of the country I guess it's more in theme with our lifestyle.

Like for me I work in agriculture, I work especially a lot during harvest, you got harvest festivals, harvest moon, fall stuff like corn mazes, wagon rides under the stars, etc.

I guess candy corn just kind fits in thematically with all that better then a snickers or a KitKat does.

Of course if you ask people in more city like or liberal areas they probably tell you it's because we don't know quality or we have low standards. As shown in the comments some people have a rather ignorant opinion of us.
