Why are the same five candy bars always popular during Halloween? What candy are you handing out for Halloween?

For decades, it's been, KitKat, Snickers, Reeses Peanut butter Cups, M&Ms, and Hershey's Chocolate bars. I have a theory. Why do you think they're so popular and what candy will you be handing out?

I think its because almost all of these products contain peanut butter and peanut butter is cheap too make candies out of. As well these come in smaller portions and if you are collecting candies from 80 houses, you do not want them to be so large that they take up your entire bag space.

That's a good guess and I didn't realize that Snickers has peanut in it. However, with the exception of Reese's cups, the rest don't.

The other popular ones, like sweet tarts, are popular because they are cheap.
