Well well, we GaGers have a wide and varied taste when it comes to alcohol. 😉

I get comped drinks all the time but it's usually after I've ordered and the bartender just says it's on the house. If I had to choose knowing it was gonna be a freebie, I'd likely choose a Gin & Tonic or a glass of Malbec.

Scotch is fine too, not peaty, but in the US it's considerably more expensive than American Rye. My favorite is Balvenie 21-year-old but it's now going for about $400. There is very good American whisky at $100.

It depends on my mood, the time of day and the situation. First drink early in the day, it’s probably a Bloody Maria. Afternoon on an empty stomach, most likely a beer or cider. Later in the evening after i’ve already eaten, an Old Fashioned.

@Kingofkings1992 Guess you don't know me, hmm? LOL I enjoy good vodka as well. I like one made in the Ukraine, but it's no being made now due to the war. There's a really great one made in an area of Normandy, France, but difficult to get. The popular ones, like Absolut, are and Tito's, are shit.

Titos is pretty good for the price, but there are definitely better options out there. My favorite one I've ever had to date is called Reyka. It's made in Iceland using arctic spring water and lava rock filtration. Blue Ice is another pretty good one too, it's an American potato vodka made in Idaho. Definitely worth checking out if you get the chance

@Kingofkings1992 It's an acquired taste. Khortska is my fav Ukraine vodka if they ever make it again. I doubt I'll ever get American vodka where I'm traveling now. If you can drink Tito's, you've got a better stomach than me. That shit tastes like dirty socks smell. Try it neat next to your other favs and you'll never drink it again. LOL

@jennz6 I get that, which is fine. A virgin pina colada has no alcohol, that's what virgin means. In fact, you can put the word virgin in front of any cocktail name, you'll get the general taste of the cocktail without any alcohol.
