What is your favourite type of hot sauce?

I have several. Right now, Melinda’s is my favorite brand, but Elijah’s is a close second. Frank’s is a solid all purpose hot sauce that anyone can get and use; not too hot.
Melinda’s has a ghost pepper garlic sauce that is really good and a scorpion pepper sauce that has really good bite and flavor. They also have a pineapple habanero sauce for that “sweet heat” combo. Elijah’s “regret” isn’t at all regrettable. It’s good flavor and good spice. They have one hotter sauce that i intend to try. They also have a sweet and spicy sauce made with reaper peppers. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual pineapple, mango and other citrusy hot sauces.
Interestingly, the hottest sauce that i routinely have on hand is Tabasco’s scorpion sauce. It’s not too difficult to go overboard with that one. I actually use it to make my Frank’s hotter.

As a Mexican if there's no hot sauce the food is extra boring, tried lots of bottled hot sauces. None of them really compare to a homemade sauce with actual fresh ingredients.

My favourite type of hot sauce is a good, tangy fermented chili sauce 🌶️

I especially love sauces made with red chilies, garlic, a bit of vinegar, and time to ferment. They remind me of a tiny shop in Osaka where I tried a house-made chili sauce on gyoza, and it completely transformed the dish. Balanced heat, deep umami, and a little funk always win for me.

There are a lot that I enjoy , but I primarily use Siracha , I also Really enjoy Tabasco with Siracha , it’s so damn good , if you see it when you are grocery shopping buy it , it is so good on corn it’s not very hot per say, but the flavor is amazing and on corn, it is so good

My grandma's hot sauce is definitely my fav. I add it to almost all my food unless it's stuff that makes no sense to have with hot sauce. It's a trini Caribbean style. It looks something like this:

Depends on the food.

If it's BBQ - then some mild, with lemon or lime mixed in

If it's fried - then some hot bird eye chilli sauce.

It it's oven - then some garlic and mild sauce.

People make the mistake of thinking they must only prefer one chilli sauce at all times.

Relatively mild. Decades ago at a Chili's restaurant, the server asked if we wanted any condiments. I asked if they had a "hot sauce" that had some flavor and not just plain "heat". She replied. "Yes, I know what you want- Cholula". Yes, it had a nice little bunch of heat, but it also had flavor. Been using it ever since.

When making hot pepper jelly , Cheyenne, nice warm heat not focused in one spot like sriracha which heats the back of the throat.

Trappy's Red Devil (hate the name). I went through Louisiana, Tabasco, and generic store brands, along with a few i can't remember the name of and found Trappy's went best with Pittsburgh Hot Links. It tastes better than any I've found.
