To some extent they probably do, women in olden times were drawn to the men who hunted and killed the fattest deer and wild hogs. A lot of what women want from a man I think, is a sense of safety and security and economic security is part of that, though it is far from the only thing that they want.
I love women I enjoy there company. But which ever way you look at it you give them money , directly or indirectly. I am quite happy to do this , if I take a woman out I will pay for it, if she wants chip in that is up to her. I enjoy buying presents for , so does she for me. Its a friendship or relationship its a give and take thing. We don't sit down at the end of the evening divveing up how much we have spent and share the cost.
I enjoy their company, too. I welcome them splitting bills because it is respectful to me being poor. If I take my close-on out, it is a different thing but dating a woman the first time? I appreciate splitting the bill without asking for it but I pay both bills. I was in such situation where she just looked at me like "Don't you want to pay mine?", I find that not nice at that moment and still don't like it. We both eat and I even traveled by train (I payed for it) to her. She offered me to travel half distance but that would only cut time a bit, not the price (blame #VRR ). Here, clearly sharing is carrying. She could have paid it as she was same as me, poor but not broken. If she is broken and cannot effort the expenses, I pay them, that is okay. Still my (now other) girlfriend would feel embarrassed seeing me pay it. She doesn't want my money, direct or indirect, just my love.
Regardless of what is politically correct to say, that is the nature of all women and it is silly to expect them to be different.
However, money is not the only factor. A pretty young girl may prefer a hot athletic and sexy young man to a fat middle-age man that has a lot of money.
@roland77 I can believe that because, at her age she doesn't any choice. At 20, they sell it; at 30, they give it away; and at 40, they buy it. However, in my case, I'm interested in 20s; not some dried up old hide that has to buy it.
I refuse to believe that every man quite simply isn't a born rapist looking for an opportunity.
Don't like my generalization? Too bad. It's an ignorant generalization spouted by anti-men/feminists just as how the OP's is an ignorant generalization spouted by incels (I've heard it enough by their sort on other forums).
I went on a date with a dude who bragged about making a lot of money in his work, having own Mercedes, and own apartment at the age of 20. And I really didn’t care cause I didn’t find him attractive.
Yeah a person buying a Mercedes at 20 sounds like they're likely a vain person. Of course it depends on the person but that sounds likely. Most people are nice at first.
Sounds like a typical penis-size-comparison to me. ;-) Let me guess, he bragged also about it? Sure it is a male-thing as we are the one with a penis and most males do. But a Mercedes and own big house doesn't mean a big penis and big heart. ;-) Okay, it means he is rich in money and poor in love, or?
A man should financially support his wife, at least when she's going through the struggles of pregnancy and breastfeeding which make it more difficult to work.
You always say that but in a normal society there are maternity leave (nine months) and women do not lose their job, then both spouses try to see how they care for their child. But I understand you, it is a difficult process and you should help your spouse as you can and take care of her, but in a maternity leave you continue to receive salary.
@Wolkmi maternity leave is after the baby is born. Women usually do not get maternity leave for the months during pregnancy in which they are in pain or vomiting or nauseous all the time.
@EmmaMary if you did not have bad nausea/vomiting, or you felt comfortable working through it, then that is your choice, but a woman should not have to. If the father wants parental rights, he has the responsibility to care for the child during the pregnancy, and that involves providing for the needs of the mother who finds it more difficult to work.
Same to you, too. I was with a woman, who managed to grab 250 EUR from me just being with her for only a couple of times and she even wanted me to pay all bar/pub visits. On our first "date", she wanted me to go to erotic cinema... Not something I would generally reject if I know her for a longer time but at first date was a little to early. I know these are expensive when a male is going in but cheap as nothing when a female goes in.
There's a difference between "wanting your money" and wanting someone who isn't a borderline useless fool without a job that, all in all, contributes little to nothing to the relationship. Besides if you aren't contributing to the household why does a woman want a man anyway? If they're lonely there's plenty of strays at the local pound.
As it was mentioned elsewhere pregnant women can be and have been fired from their jobs. That is no secret. There are lawyers dedicated to these sorts of cases in almost every major American city. Maternity leave, depending on where & company, differs in time frame & by rights in most states there's not a single law that says a job has to pay her for that maternity leave they just have to make sure she's a job to come back to. So what's she supposed to do if the boyfriend/father has no money? Beg?
Here's a thought, as a women you chose to have a baby, and you should expect it to affect your job. A business should not have to pay for your choice, you should. Why do you think in the UK as a woman of birthing age you have a hard time getting a job? Because a hiring manager know he will end up eating the costs. Same thing with black people, If I fire him/her, I may end-up in court even if I document the employee's failings. And even if I win I lose because time is money.
I dont look for money, i don't like for anyone, I make my own money, i dont need to use a person for material things, and I don't like being labeled because I don't have a dick
Luxury cars usually cost a lot to buy and maintain and depreciate precipitously. Normal saloon cars can be used as taxis; they last longer, are cheaper to buy and maintain, and actually bring in money for their owners. I live in the hope that what the Asker says is not true and hope to avoid luxury cars---and luxury women---as should he.

omg you are so right i will suck that little dick of yours every dang day for a few dollar bills. thats how bad we want it. do i get a prize money for being honest? ;)
@roland77 did her comment touch too close to home? Neither is female shaming saying we only want money, but hey, you don't care because it's speaking about women. 🤦
@PondyPand Nope, not one bit. And true that female-shaming isn't right, too. Still male-shaming back isn't right, too! I just made my self clear here, that calling his penis might not be small at all.
Women want to be taken care of. Women expect you to pay for access to their pussy. It might be a straight cash transaction, or it might be a lot of dinners and presents, or it might be oa houser a car. But if you are tapping that ass, she is expecting compensation. All women are whores in that regard.
I'm going to assume you're a time traveler from the 19th century. I never in my life met a female, friend or relative, who wanted to "be taken care of" or expected money in return for sex.
I am a woman and I am never going to date a man only because of his money. I have rejected several bad guys or guys I wasn't attracted to who offered luxuries. If I don't like the guy, I am not going to date him. You sound like you have dated only gold diggers. For the other girls your money is only a bonus and not the most important characteristic.
Then you are not desperate, good! My girlfriend has turned down an offer, to have sex against money with her. She blocked him (and hopefully reported him, too) at #Okcupid where she met him. Maybe I can find a screenshot of her block list somewhere and copy out the guy I think it is.
Of course they do. No woman worth her salt wants a dead-broke guy. They want to make sure you can support not only yourself, but her and the 84 children she wants to have with you.
@Taylor_C - Uh, no, not true at all. And anyway, it was an exaggeration - what it really means is that any worthwhile woman wants a man that is equally or more successful as she is - otherwise the respect just never gets there. It really has nothing to do with 'supported'.
But anyway, it's all good 'till you get to 'We don't need no stinkin' men', and then all bets are off.
Yes, absolutely. And while you're at it, hit the gym, HARD. They like muscles too. :) #1 Looks - #2 Money, 1#3 is confidence. Irrational confidence. You'll gain #3 for the effort you put in getting #1 and #2. And you'll have best pick of what's out there in the dating pool.
Ah, yes. It's about they do and less about what they say because actions speak louder than words and words are cheap. All This is an entire decade of work but this better be worth it in the end. I'll do this for myself and not for the women of course.
Exactly. Truth be told, they don't even know what they want, it's just a feeling at the moment, highly subject to change at any given moment. A smart man knows better what she wants/needs than she does, and why he leads. If he can't or won't, they'll take over, but they absolutely hate it, and will come to loath you in the process. The respect goes, they turn impatient and bossy, shut down sexually, even cheat or bail, or any combination of these.
How many times have you see this pair roll into the gas station with a mini van full of kids? She's driving (or not) but gets out bossing him around, telling him he's just the same as the kids. She's usually fat AND ugly, you wonder why the fuck he did her in the first place. And then again for each of of those kidletts. So then he let her take over. Weak. Suck. Beta-Cuck.
@Taylor_C - you're misunderstanding what's at play here. Career or not, a woman wants a strong man that can make decisions, and lead. Or did you want to try to be the man in your relationships? If you do, I guarantee you'll get a weak-suck guy you'll come to literally hate. You'll be bored to tears.
I would not under any circumstances accept a man to lead me in a relationship. You´re just being prejudiced and narrow minded. The #1 factor when I choose a partner is personality, money do not even factor in as I'm fully capable of supporting myself and would continue to do so even if married or in a LTR.
"How many times have you see this pair roll into the gas station with a mini van full of kids?"
Man, i have seen quite some examples even in my family circle. A fat and ugly wife bossing him to do everything, fights and then also making terrible major decisions such as maxing out the credit card at all times while the kids have the same look as a dead mannequin. It makes me wonder if that was their only choice and the other choice being single.
He usually calls it holding onto the marriage till death separates them. They look already semi dead to me. How embarrassing.
@Taylor_C - And here you are at 26 and still don't understand man-woman relationship dynamics. So you're condemned to repeat your same mistakes over and over and over.
They way you don't become a victim to overbearing cunt of a wife, is to never give her power over the relationship in the first place. You have to be AWESOME. In fact, so awesome she can't afford to leave. Pretty much the only way to keep them from getting bored and wandering. If the man fails to lead, gets fat and lazy and sits on the sofa drinking beer and watching TV, she goes nuts. Shuts down sexually (the scariest thing to any man is how they can shut it off like a light switch) or cheat or just bail. Or any combination.
No, the burden of performance is on the man. You need to be going someplace or being somebody, or bimbos like Taylor here will go their own way. If they're in a relationship they take over as the boss and make your life miserable. And then she hates her life and goes looking for Chad Thundercock.
Wait. When you say that she can't afford to leave because I would be too awesome, do you mean she should be financially dependent on me so much, that she can't even file for a divorce?
"she would never find another one like you to love her" similarly worded by those abusers, who gaslight their girlfriends. They could be telling her "nobody wants/loves you. You should be lucky to have me. (If you break up with me) you'll never find someone, who loves you like i do". Really wonder what type of women go for these abusers. Loser women? Women, who are insecure? Women, who are lost in life? But that won't be a problem for me. 😀
All I can say is you attract terrible women then, maybe if you showed you had more to offer than dinner and gifts you'd attract the women who want more than that.
This is exactly the same as 'All men want is sex' no all you offer is sex.
In my opinion if a guy loves me money doesn't matter or change anything. I don't need fancy I just need to know he isn't cheating on me. "Women only want our money" is like " does size matter" neither of them matter to me. Some girls prefer getting treated fancy and for size they have a preference. But not all girls just want money
Hmm. Actually I want him to share his money as I would share with mines. Like, rent, food, bills, and so forth. I don't care about materialistic things as much. If I want it, I'll get it myself. 🤷
That does seem true pretty often for the ones around my age group, but the ones 9 + years younger than me often seem much more fair and care about more than money and will even buy dinner for the guy too. I'd suggest just avoiding the ones close to my age.
What women want is your "resources", which is your money and ability to make more money. Women will deny this but good luck if you are broke and unemployed as a man. Women say they want "security", which is this world means money.

Yeah, blame the gold-digging people for financial disasters. :-(

Same here! I’d be totally gucci to pay for my girl’s dinner. It’s a way to show affection through good service.
I enjoy their company, too. I welcome them splitting bills because it is respectful to me being poor. If I take my close-on out, it is a different thing but dating a woman the first time? Like it
Dislike it. I'm not athletic, not fat but not rich. Still my girlfriend is with me because she values other in me than my non-existing money.
@roland77 I can believe that because, at her age she doesn't any choice. At 20, they sell it; at 30, they give it away; and at 40, they buy it. However, in my case, I'm interested in 20s; not some dried up old hide that has to buy it.

not so gentle anymore aren't ya?
I went on a date with a dude who bragged about making a lot of money in his work, having own Mercedes, and own apartment at the age of 20. And I really didn’t care cause I didn’t find him attractive.
Why did you go out with him if you didn't find him attractive then?
Cause he was very nice at first and I liked his character. But the bragging took it off
Yeah a person buying a Mercedes at 20 sounds like they're likely a vain person. Of course it depends on the person but that sounds likely. Most people are nice at first.

A man should financially support his wife, at least when she's going through the struggles of pregnancy and breastfeeding which make it more difficult to work.
Or just in general and she should support him, if that means cooking or cleaning is in the deal yes that too
You always say that but in a normal society there are maternity leave (nine months) and women do not lose their job, then both spouses try to see how they care for their child. @Wolkmi maternity leave is after the baby is born. Women usually do not get maternity leave for the months during pregnancy in which they are in pain or vomiting or nauseous all the time.
@mistixs Maternity leave can actually start up to a month before the woman's due date, this I took full advantage of last December.
@EmmaMary "up to a month before the woman's due date"
The nausea and vomiting is in the first 3 months
@EmmaMary if you did not have bad nausea/vomiting, or you felt comfortable working through it, then that is your choice, but a woman should not have to. If the father wants parental rights, he has the responsibility to care for the child during the pregnancy, and that involves providing for the needs of the mother who finds it more difficult to work.
You have the right and the freedom to believe whatever crap you believe.
Another perfect response 👏

@roland77 did her comment touch too close to home?

@PondyPand Nope, not one bit. And true that female-shaming isn't right, too. Still male-shaming back isn't right, too! I just made my self clear here, that calling his penis might not be small at all.

Women want to be taken care of. Women expect you to pay for access to their pussy. Ngl, true. Well a woman has to earn a man too, right? She gotta be cute uwu
Not true. This is prejudice. Are you living in a trailer park or a very religious community?
@Taylor_C No, sweetie. I live in the real world.
I'm going to assume you're a time traveler from the 19th century. I never in my life met a female, friend or relative, who wanted to "be taken care of" or expected money in return for sex.
@Taylor_C I have met many.
@kibbenkat I guess it all comes down to what social circles you move in.
I am a woman and I am never going to date a man only because of his money. I have rejected several bad guys or guys I wasn't attracted to who offered luxuries.

Wait. When you say that she can't afford to leave because I would be too awesome, do you mean she should be financially dependent on me so much, that she can't even file for a divorce?
No. It means you're so awesome she would never find another one like you to love her. :)
Ahhh, there it is! But this also sounds like something an abuser would say if you think about it 😂
I fail to see the correlation. Oh well.
Specifically this part
"she would never find another one like you to love her" similarly worded by those abusers, who gaslight their girlfriends. They could be telling her "nobody wants/loves you. You should be lucky to have me. (If you break up with me) you'll never find someone, who loves you like i do". Really wonder what type of women go for these abusers. Loser women? Evidently you've missed the point. Oh well.
Being awesome isn't about abusing women. Your level of confusion is astounding.
Don't feel bad about missing my point then. Because I don't. And who said, that abusing women is awesome?
