Thanks for responding. About a year ago, I was exactly the kind of person that I wanted to be with and I felt that my relationship with God was so strong. But there was no one around. Then over the past year, it got really hard and I looked for escape and went astray by going my own way and got lost again.

But my question is: Do I want someone at my best when they wouldn't want me at my worst?

That's a good question and I don't know if I'm the best to answer it. I do think that if you really work on yourself and you're at the point when you're ready for a relationship, you can find someone who is looking for something serious. If you two genuinely care about each other, even when you see their ugly side you will try to work through it. None of it is easy and that will come out. You just need to find someone that is realistic about relationships and isn't there just for all the high points of the relationship. Really, nobody should be looking for someone when they're at their worst. Their judgment on who will be good for them is way off and most likely they're lonely. You should always start off with both of you wanting a relationship for the right reasons.
