When you throw popcorn to pigeons do you decide where to throw by equality? Or do the birds who want it the most hustle to get it. While everyone gets some, others get more. And THAT is EQUALITY.
Because each one has an equal opportunity to use their advantages to gain a share. Some use their advantages more than others.
So we have equality already, it's just that most people think everything should be cut and divided instead of allowing each with talents and skills to shine to come forward and so do.
This is a really good take. I've always advocated egalitarianism over feminism. Even though the dictionary definition of both words are the exact same. However feminism is and has always intended to be a gynocentric political and sociological movement pretending to be a humanitarian advocacy.
The impact feminism has made on society is quite obvious in these forums whenever that topic is discussed: Feminism is a divide and conquer psy-op that is used to turn men and women against each other.

I think the only way true equality can come is for people to reject Feminism (or at least radical Feminism) and accept an alternative that vies for justice for all people, to focus on the things that unite us rather than separate us. It won't happen as long as Feminists are allowed to bully people for disagreeing with them without impunity.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing.
Great take. I think the root of many of these problems are a lack of mutual understanding. I'm grateful to the feminists who have given me a kick in the nuts that made me think. On the other hand, it can't all be stick. There has to be some carrot too, and for me as a man, that would be some acknowledgement or regard for the problems of men.
thank you and that is why a lot of men are confused when women bring up equality. plus women do have a tendency to skip over other people who are in need. like the example civil rights leaders talked about freedom they often represented party's other than themselves. when women bring up equality it just seems like they want more power rather than responsibility. but think you for your honesty I had no idea girls could be pressured like this.
I don't even know how to appropriately respond to you calling me a man, y'know, as a cis woman. How do I say, "Actually, I'm a cis woman, but I see yr trying to get a dig at me by saying I'm a trans woman, and I think that's disgusting"? Actually, you know what, that's p. much exactly what I'll say. So I don't know how yr going about calling a cis woman a trans woman, but like, it's kind of a moot point, honestly. It wouldn't matter either way.
Send me a picture of yourself holding a time stamp, and you might just be able to prove it yourself ;) if you don't bother, or decline to do it, it's safe to say you're a catfish!
If you even scratch the surface of Feminist claims they are nearly always either a total lie or grossly misleading.
For example in this article the author mentions the right to vote, men only got the right to vote so they could be made to go to war, the idea being if you will die for your country then you should have a say. Women got the right to vote 5 years later and 70% of women didn't even want it and women never had to go to war and still don't.
Patriarchy theory is the corner stone of Feminism and requires you believe: 1. that women are inferior to men and need special treatment. 2. that all men are sociopaths who knowingly oppress the very people they form their closest relationships with. 3. that there is a world wide, multi generational conspiracy to oppress women for the sole benefit of men.
Is this stuff you are aware of and just don't care ab out?
I'm quite aware of that. I honestly wish they would actually TEACH the history of voting with this in mind. In fact, women were really specifically PREVENTED from voting. They would just have to be primary tax payers, which were originally land lords, but later were the primary earners of the household. The only thing the new law really did was extend the vote to all persons over the age of 18.
Except that men had to be sent off to war to vote, but the women didn't.
This incomplete view of history, as well as many of the narratives many feminists cling to, are the primary reasons I don't call myself a feminist. So yeah, I DO care about these issues, and I'm usually one of the guys presenting counter-arguments.
A thing on that suicide note. A person who is truly suicidal will do it, they won't give hints or tell anyone. They'll just do it. While someone who is DEPRESSED and NOT YET suicidal, will show obvious hints and complain to close friends and relatives.
I don't consider myself a feminist because I've regularly seen self proclaimed feminist groups outright censor and delete arguments that were thoughtful and well-written, simply because they brought up unsavory points.
I wanted to know something, is this a social movement (organized)? or is more like a philosophy? I'm very interested in this... and great take ;)

I think right now it's more of a philosophy since I've never actually met another person with this viewpoint or who considered themselves egalitarian (although a few seem to have showed up on this post). Who knows though, in the future it might become more prevalent.
yeah, I had that impression too... I've met people (RL) who identify themselves as such (I do it too), but I think is more due to disagreement with feminism than anything else (at least with the ones I've met... me included), but what worries me is precisely that, if it remains as a philosophy, it will be impossible to fight for this... anyway, it's good to see that there is more than a few people sharing this thought in several countries, that gives some hope, and as you say, maybe this means that in the future this will become organized !!

If feminism was about equal rights, then why does it have the FEM in the ISM.
Equality. Respect. Dignity.
These apply to all and should not be a gender based movement.
Source: My mother is a successful doctor, she is an example to me.
She is strong and determined, but very feminine and loving.
She thinks feminism is BS.
Good take by the way.

The damn truth! Egalitarianism all day!
This is the termed that represents real gender equality and balance, not feminism.

Good for you. At least someone recognizes the issues at hand
Fantastic post, I can't wait to see the reactions from the über-feminists on this site.
*grabs popcorn*
You mean @udolipixie and @Alexztra?
such successful mention @Alexzktra and also @LauraMarx but she is not going to get a mention from me, haha.
You know they're both men, right? That Alex girl and LauraMarx @Mesonfielde
It's been proven.

Keep telling yourself that dear, a lot of us can see through you ;)
Out of curiosity: prove it

Don't even need to read the whole thing to know it's going to be something intelligent and thought provoking. That's Honey Bee for ya.
Yes! A fellow member of the not-a-feminist-but-not-anti-feminist club!

Sorry "women *weren't* specifically prevented..."
Wonderfully written
Let's see how much hate you get for writing a well thought out article and actually using that thing called *GASPS* THE DICTIONARY

great take but its those feminists that can not see beyond only female gender and not include everyone that's disturbing to me.
dint you say you think women are weak and irrational and only suited for the home?
@Azara. No that's just salami and sexist if I did then it would be a joke simply
Good job articulating your thoughts! Wish I had the opportunity to chat with you face to face:)
I don't consider myself a feminist because I've regularly seen self proclaimed feminist groups outright censor and delete arguments that were thoughtful and well-written, simply because they brought up unsavory points.
i ascribed to egalitarianism also. Its a lot safer for me, as i find myself disagreeing with feminists on a few key issues
and good work with the take =) hopefully others can understand your point of view
Nice article. It's heartening to me to see women shunning feminism in favor of a movement that cares about everyone and not just half of society.
I wanted to know something, is this a social movement (organized)? or is more like a philosophy? I'm very interested in this... and great take ;)
