Eh. Like I said, I see more people complain about them than I actually see them complaining about wanting equal, but special, treatment. Ah well, whatevs.
They do exist. The girls that say, "there's never a reason to hit a girl" or "you have a mom. You came from a woman so you have no right to disrespect one". I've met girls who wholeheartedly agree with those statements and have said them on occasion. They also care about equal rights in regards to what women receive. I remember I had a conversation with a girl on this site that said it's ok for her to hit a man across the face but it's not right for a man to do the same.
I don't complain about them, because I just think they are absolutely ridiculous and not worth my time. But they very much exist. In my experience however they are not the majority
I would rather have a guy be chivalrous and nice than give me equal rights. And also so many guys complain about having to treat girls well, I don't get that. Where I grew up it was just taught that you treat woman a certain way, it's weird to me when guys don't.
I was taught that the woman cooks and cleans and lets me be in charge, so many girls complain, I don't get that. Where I grew up it was just taught that you treat men a certain way, it's weird to me when girls don't.
I was being ironic, but that is how I feel the relationship should be. Nearly every girl it seems still wants all that and even more nowadays but don't feel that they should have to cook, clean and let me be in charge - that's what I'm really getting at.
I don't mind cooking and cleaning as long as he brings home a paycheck and I think the guy has the final word on our decisions but I think he should still ask how I feel about it.
Thanks, I guess it's just how I was raised. Honestly when I was younger I didn't think that way, but I think I do now because I've found the man I wanna marry and know I can let him be in charge because he has my best interest at heart and I love and trust him fully :)
Yeah this is an epidemic, women who want the good from equality but refuse to take the bad that comes with it as well, It's a very ugly attitude of entitlement.
As shitty and rampant as it is though there is a very simple and easy solution to it all. Do not make relationships of any kind with people, men or women, who will not be responsible & respectful moral agents.
Problem solved and no need to be butt hurt about it, just move on.
I see a lot of this with online dating profiles but not as much in real life. I think such girls will never know what it is like to be an adult. Their profiles are seriously gross with all these things the guy "must have" and how great they think they are.
but in my day to day life I really don't see this much at all. The girls are much more down to earth.
My mother taught us the opposite: to protect others, even risking our own life; to pay for what we consume and pay for there if possible; to give our sears to those who need it more; to do everything by ourselves and don't ask for help unless we really need it; we are prohibited to act a little weak girls. We train in martial arts to defend ourselves, but not to attack others...
Guys don't have to pay for everything. Most just do because they want to. Not because they are forced to. I know plenty of girls who will insist on paying half anyway.
I'm pretty sure it's just as illegal for a girl to beat up a guy as it is for a guy to beat up a girl.
If you are any kind of man then you would what to give you're girlfriend special treatment. As for equal rights. Well they think they should have equal rights because they deserve equal rights.
I think what really ends up happening is feminist say one thing other women say another. Feminist assume they speak for all women so when you run across a woman with a different point of view from a feminist or vice-verse it gets confusing. On top of that there are a lot of feminist who focus so much on the negative aspects of gender equality that the perks are easily forgotten about or they like them.
Equal rights and special treatment are 2 separate things. Real equal rights means women should be treated the same as other men and women, and men should be treated the same as women and other men. I'd say most women only want special treatment from their partner. If you want special treatment from everyone just because you're a woman then that's not feminism, that's sexism.
There are entitled assholes in both genders. Simple as that.
Although honestly, if someone sees someone else in danger and they have the ability to help them, then they should. Regardless of gender. Even calling the cops is of some use.
You say "girls" as if it's all girls who are crazy feminists. I think a man should protect his girl, I think he should help her carry heavy stuff, I think he should never hit her but I don't think women are superior. There is a thing called being a gentleman. It doesn't mean you should put up with crazy feminist shit though.
.. Did you even read what I said? It's not special treatment, it's acknowledging the fact that you are the stronger sex, and therefore should help and protect her. Then she does things for you in other ways. The crazy feminists wants women to be superior, and men to go die. Real feminists just want equal rights, like same salary for men and women.
See @asker, this is what I'm talking about. This isn't a feminist girl. And guess what? She EXPECTS men to do more stuff because it's "gentlemen" stuff. Yet, most guys would blame feminism. Nope. Some girls who are not for feminism or don't agree with it prefer that traditional chivalry crap just cuz he's a guy. Don't get it twisted, not all girls are feminists, and not all agree with that crap.
Seems like she wants the guy to do more work than herself, which is in essence using him. Gentlemen and Ladylike behavior are outdated, backward concepts
@Asker you just don't get it do you? I am in some way a feminist, I believe in equal right (EQUAL not suppression of one gender, male or female) But when men are the physically stronger sex, of course I expect them to help where strength is required, because that is one of the things they can do. And then the girl does something else (depends on what that exact girl can do) I believe in the one who asked the other out pays the bill, and the one who reaches the door first opens it. Simple as that. Men are stronger, it's a fact. If you're a guy, then don't be a dick and help out where you can. If you're a girl, then don't be a bitch and help out where you can. @BuchitaBuchys
I'm not a bitch and I do help where I can. But I think it applies to both genders, not just men, not just women. Basically, it's whatever your good at, use that to help others. If you're smart, use your smarts. If you're strong, use your strength etc. To help everyone. And not just to help men, or not to help women. Cuz yes, most men are stronger, but not all. So if there's a physically weak guy and a really strong girl, then let the girl help with moving shit or whatever. Basically, I'm saying look at individual strengths. NOT stereotypical "gender" strengths.
Sweet honey boo boo child, you can't insult someone, and then ask then to calm down, even though their statement had no signs of not being calm ;) @Asker @BuchitaBuchys I know some men are weaker than women, but it's not the norm. Men are genetically stronger, it's a fact, and my statement is not based on individual cases :)
I actually think the same thing as you. I have heard some people say you should just be polite to everyone. In the girls lens it is a key issue and girls are thinking their own lens while being self absorbed.
I have no idea. I have been wondering that ever since seeing a HONY post about feminism and a bus seat. I know they feel that the guy doesn't know what feminism is. He said I am a feminist so when there is only one seat left on the subway. I'm all in. Or something like that most girls said that's not what a feminist is I don't know.
I'm sure it's not all girls. A lot of them said that he was a jerk. Something about him not being a nice person and not doing what a feminist does. I am not trying restore some type of order. I just read a lot of stupid stuff on that column.
Luckily, this doesn't apply to all females, and more importantly, you can always just tell them to GTFO and find someone else instead who isn't a sexist bitch. :)
Obviously not all girls are like that, and that is over-dramatic. That is just society and gender roles been heavily influenced on these girls. In a way I think its better to make noise then not be heard at all of what we want :)
If you're encountering multiple women that are like this then I think you need to take that as a sign to go after a different type of woman. In reality, very few are actually extreme like that. VERY few.

We are still in a transition phase as far as social norms and gender roles are concenrened.
Girls have one foot in the future and one in the past, and of course they put those 'feet' where it benefits them most, you'd probably do the same to protect your own self-intrest if you were in their shoes.

Eh, I don't really know any girl who has that attitude.
Maybe because you don't live in the English speaking west
Shrug. I haven't seen many women like that online either. I only hear people bitch about them.
Because they exist
It seems that they don't. Not to the extent to justify this massive amount of complaining about them, at least...
If they didn't exist in mass numbers, there wouldn't be a massive amounts of complaints. duh
Eh. Like I said, I see more people complain about them than I actually see them complaining about wanting equal, but special, treatment. Ah well, whatevs.
Because they only show this side. Either that or you're living under a rock

Well maybe we grew up in the same place then because I was taught that to a point as well lol
ps couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or serious, but I was taught that
I was being ironic, but that is how I feel the relationship should be. Nearly every girl it seems still wants all that and even more nowadays but don't feel that they should have to cook, clean and let me be in charge - that's what I'm really getting at.

I see it as a two-way street, which too many girls nowadays unfortunately don't, glad you're different.
Thanks, I guess it's just how I was raised. Honestly when I was younger I didn't think that way, but I think I do now because I've found the man I wanna marry and know I can let him be in charge because he has my best interest at heart and I love and trust him fully :)

as little*
cool... Which art?
and what rank are you?
Mainily Ninpo/Ninjutsu and Systema. I also practice others, including the family one.
Bujinkan? Also what rank?
Bujinkan? No.
Rank? Black belt
Then which style? How long for that black belt?
Style? A mix of different styles.
How long? I got it at 16.
How long did it take you to get it? Also, do you feel confident facing a strong but untrained 6'3 guy?
Mind If you ask me via pm?
not at all
I think some women in this day and age have distorted equality to be the ideal life for them, and disregard others rights for the sake of their own.

This is a little bit of a read, but I think this girl hit it right on as far as unjust standards go for men and women.
Guys don't have to pay for everything. Most just do because they want to. Not because they are forced to. I know plenty of girls who will insist on paying half anyway.

Yess
Stop simplifying things where it suits you.
The girls who want equality do not fit into the category you're painting of the girls who want to be babied.
You have beautiful eyes
Hmm.. thanks..

So equal AND special treatment it is!

hahaha what other ways? there's no feminist bible so there's nothing like real feminists
Ohh you're a bible freak? I don't want to argue with that, you're nuts ;)
I was joking
Didn't seem like it.
Anyways, what other ways does she do things for you?
Depends on what she is good at.
Gimme some examples
See @asker, this is what I'm talking about. This isn't a feminist girl. And guess what? She EXPECTS men to do more stuff because it's "gentlemen" stuff. Yet, most guys would blame feminism. Nope. lol. Calm down

i'm.. a hermaphrodite
@colonel_jas it helps to have a micro penis too
I actually think the same thing as you. I have heard some people say you should just be polite to everyone. In the girls lens it is a key issue and girls are thinking their own lens while being self absorbed.
What else is visible through this girls lens?
I have no idea. I have been wondering that ever since seeing a HONY post about feminism and a bus seat. I know they feel that the guy doesn't know what feminism is. I have no clue. I mean, girls should have equal rights but I do agree that all the examples you've given are taking it too far.
If you're encountering multiple women that are like this then I think you need to take that as a sign to go after a different type of woman. In reality, very few are actually extreme like that. VERY few.
i want equal rights i don't care i don't want him to pay i will pay i don't want the seat i don't want anyone to risk themselves for me even if they did i won't forgive myself if they will get hurt and ofcourse if i will hit anyone man or woman they can beat the shit out of me it is their right

I have a foot fetish...
