My girlfriend won't drive me to work?

It's a little bit more complex than that, let me start from the start.

I moved to Germany for my girlfriend, just over a year ago. I really am very happy with her, it's just sometimes I feel like she finds it difficult to do something for me, just out of kindness.

I spoil her. We have just come back from an all expenses paid skiing trip in Austria. We regularly go out for dinner and drinks, I always pick up the bill. I support her financially, when she needs it (she's still a student) and I travel two hours every Friday to get to hers for the weekend.

I currently travel one and a half hours to work on the bus. I do not have a driving licence, since I never needed one in London.

I have bought a car, got her insured on it and have given it to her for until I have my licence. She now is in her semester break for two months and is staying at my place. I have asked her to drive me to work (15 mins) to save me the one hour, forty minute journey to work. She has driven me to work 50% of the time, and to be fair has picked me up every day.

I tried to speak to her about it last night. She cried, said she was selfish and drove me to work this morning.

We have had similar conversations in the past, this is how she has reacted then, but not a lot has changed.

A similar incident was a few weeks ago, when we were in Austria, a few days later my parents were moving house in Switzerland - where I was due to help. She tried to wriggle out of coming, but in the end agreed to - although I know she really didn't want to.

I really feel, like she's not so committed in my life, or my family's life and that she tends to put herself first. I don't know what I am expecting to receive as a response to this post. Any advice?

Right. Driving without a license in Germany is an imprisonable offence of upto two years - so that's out of the question. I am working on the driving licence, I am taking the test (of 1200 questions, written in really poor English or very complex German) next week.

My point is, that she could give a little in return. It's half an hour of her bloody time, that I am asking for, over just a couple of months!!
