Girls, do you all get groped and harassed in clubs?

Question

i just saw an entire article about women being very uncomfortable in clubs because men are constantly grabbing them, to the point that they sometimes dont want to go out anymore. aperently it happens so often to them, that they see it as norm? they think that if they would rebort it to the staff that they would get an answer like 'men will be men and you are in a club'...
can any of you girls relate to this? 
i dont go out often, but when i do its 99% because of the music, so when i do go out, im mostly not paying attention to whats going on around me, but if they decided to make an article about it, surely it must be serious no? 
so girls, does this happen to you a lot? how do you handle it?

Yes, I've had something similar happen to me before.
The key is to make it very clear and well known that you will not be tolerating any of that disrespectful, sleazy nonsense. You really have to demand respect from guys in the club otherwise many of them will try touch you without your permission. I have smacked a guy right across his face before for grabbing my a** in the club. I will shake my head very boldly and motion with my hands "no, don't touch me like that" or even lean in and say "Don't put your hands on me like that." You have to say it with confidence and very serious, stern eyes. Usually guys will apologize and feel embarrassed. Sometimes they're too drunk to acknowledge how disgusting they look.

One time, my friend and I were watching a performance at a club when this 18 or 19 year old pig came up to us with the most pathetic, disgusting approach that reeked of false confidence. He actually had the never to ask me to turn around so he could see my a**. -_- I said "What the f*ck! That's not something you say to someone. We don't know each other." then we walked away. He approached us again about five minutes later and said "Yours is fatter by the way" I was pissed. That's when I said "You're a pig!" He was taken aback and he was like "wait what?" then I said "You sound like a dirty ass pig. That's disrespectful. What the fuck do you think that's okay? You don't talk to a woman like that." He blushed. His friend could see he was embarrassing himself and pulled him away.

Many do. It's the main reason why I always hate going to clubs, crowded bars, or parties. I rarely go to them anymore. Some guys think it's a complete free for all and it gets worse the more they drink. The bouncers don't do shit about it either. It happens all the time in the student clubs at the universities here as well and the schools do nothing about it.

Girls rubbing their asses into strange guys crotches aren't much better. It's basically the same thing.

Doesn't matter what you're wearing either. It still happens.

it has never happened to me probably i am an introvert i don't really like parties, clubs, or dancing with someone i don't know. I would rather be reading or on Netflix. but if it did happen to me, i would say with a serious face and stern eyes you do not touch there. But i do know a good friend who was groped and when she got offended, he said you should take it a compliment so she started flirting with him and after about 15 minutes of flirting she asked to use to his phone to call a friend and she left and actually called his mom and asked her if she raised her son to disrespect women and she gave his phone back to him without saying who it was his face when he realized it was his mother. was all the payback she needed i think i will do the same if a guy gropes me and tells me to take it as a compliment.

It depends on the club. I've had it happen a couple times tho and im not even much of a clubber and when I do go clubbing I always hold up the wall and don't dance.

The most obnoxious time was when this guy started talking to be then rubbing up on me then grabbed my boob and said he was horny. I was sitting by myself cuz my friends were dancing and I looked at him and was like "I didn't even shave my legs tonight so you're definitely not getting any"

When you're dancing it's another story cuz everyone's rubbing over everyone.

I club regularly and this doesn't happen that much. it has happened to me before but not really often. I tend to belittle guys who act like that. I will roll my eyes dismissively or give him a nasty look that shows how ugly/lame I think he is just to crush his ego and make him feel bad at life. but like I said it doesn't happen that much

I've only been to school parties arranged by the student council and nearly all girls I've talked to have been groped, kissed or harassed. Since most last year students bring alcohol with them there are many drunk 18 year old guys who don't respect girls.

I believe it happens to some girls but it never happened to me because I rarely go to the clubs without my partner or at least more than five female friends.

Yep! Even the ugliest of girls must do as well. Me and my friends get it constantly! And some of my friends are not hot.

Yes and it makes me uncomfortable to go out. I always get some random guy grabbing my ass when I'm trying to walk past them and I really don't appreciate it
