I'll take the middle. I think there's some truth but I don't think the ratio is 80/20 and I don't think the guys in the lower tier get zero sex I just think they get less hookups than the guys in the top tier.
Yeah but I think there's still like 20% who have never had a girlfriend or lost their virginity by the age of 21. And that's where I might be heading...

Tbh, I actually think the 80/20 rule applicable in daily life re physical attractiveness.
ie: 80 percent = "NOT" in both sexes
20 percent = "HAF" in both sexes

Definitely true. Further evidenced by women initiating 80% of divorces. Its most likely the lower 80% females that used to pursue alpha 20% males end up lowering their standards for marriage partner when their biological clocks ticking, and after a few years they are tired of living married life.

They don't have to, but if they don't want to be alone with cats, most of them will have to, just as many men have to settle. Plenty of men wish they could date a gorgeous swimsuit model, but considering than something like half of Americans are obese, that's not going to happen. Just as a fat guy with no game working at walmart won't get a swimsuit model, a fat waitress is not going to get to date a rich celebrity or executive that orders lunch.
By necessity, a huge amount of men and women will have to settle.
The problem here is men who are 4-5/10 in looks don't see men of the same level of attractiveness as their equal (4-5/10 male). The reason being because guys how higher levels of attractiveness are willing to have fling/unattached sex with them, making them not want to settle with men of their level.

This what leads to the whole idea of many women thinking their settling in their 30's because they can't commitment they were expecting from 8/10 male.

Same reason men have to settle, because "the one" doesn't exist, and what you picture in your head doesn't exist either. Realism. There are far fewer hot men than there are average men, same as women. Odds are, you won't score one. Odds are, I won't either. So we both have to lower our standards. That's called math. Live with it.
