Lol I don't know why some girls do this, but I hate misrepresenting myself. Sure, I'll use the occasional filter, but not so much that it looks like I'm a different person! I think it's important that people can identify who I am outside of social media.
in my country it's normal for uw to post pictures without filter and uglt it is just not long ago when people use filters and edit and i noticed i see a lot of women who are very pretty in person but their pictures don't give justice of their actual appearance
I am not photogenic. I have loads of crappy photos and some occasional stunning ones. I look better in person. In real lighting. I am also apt to take a photo when I have makeup on. One reason I do not like online dating. The magic of Photoshop and filters - I don't have time for that.
Lol why should it matter how they look? What matters is the girl's personality? I look better girl than insta bc i'm the opposite of photogenic. Some girls look better in pics though. You never know...
But looks aren't forever.. Obviously people are looks 1st, personality 2nd, but its not really right. Its not even deceiving. The angle of the camera and/or lighting of the photo can really change the way a person looks, after all you're looking at them through a screen, in real life you're going to see little flaws you couldn't have possibly seen in pictures. Sure, some actually use photoshop, but girls don't use it as much as you think.. and @superpeanutes its not necessarily a lie. If they look drastically different, obviously it is but men do it too.
Did I ever say that? I have celebrity crushes but a lot of the time its based on what they contribute to the world. Not just some snobby self-obsessed filthy rich guy?
one of my ex's and a girl I know very well looks much different online than in person and I never really understood why. I don't think she was doing anything intentional. the pictures she had posted some of them she looked nothing like how she does in person. she wasn't like sexed up and in a bikini. they were just average pics of her in semi normal clothes at say a bar or party and yet for some reason she just looked much different than how I'd picture her in real life
If they know they look bad in person. Of course there going to get jazzed up for a social media profile. Everyone can see it its on the internet. They want to have everyone think they really look that way. I know guys who do the same thing it's not just girls.
Because make-up, the right lighting, the right angle, photoshop, filters, etc. etc. And although the majority of people doing this are in fact girls, I've met plenty of guys who are certainly guilty of this, too lol
Photogenic people that only good in pics lmfaooo 😿😿 I know too many people like that sadly you can't blame on filters either tbh or the angles bc some people still terrible with it or the same or even better in person I know another girl who still looks terrible in pics but in person she's hot AF
It's just more lies, just as makeup, wigs/weaves, and wasting trainers are lies. What is really messed up is that in some cucked countries like the UK a man can be charged with rape for lying about his status or income to sleep with a woman, but nearly all women lie with filters and makeup.
Probably for numerous reasons. One being that she was just playing you and having fun at your expense. Another reason could be that she wanted to meet with someone and didn't have enough esteem to think the guy would like her, so she found a picture of a girl that she thought was more beautiful so that she would increase her chance of meeting the guy.
The camera can lie. And we usually embrace it. Or she took the picture on a really really good day, and u met her on a regular day. I doubt her intention was to make u feel tricked or fooled. Maybe she really feels she looks like her picture...
Some people live in a fantasy world, they think they can deceive others, and they don't think ahead to understand how they will get caught in their lies. I had that experience twice with online dating, out of perhaps 75-100 first dates.
Well, my selfie game sucks, so I look better IRL. Obviously, some people are very good at taking selfies and only post the most flattering ones.
Like in my avatar, it looks like I have a 6 pack, but in IRL I have a 10 .. U mirin'?

Happened to me too lol. She sent me a pic of her where she was super skinny (really cute blonde). But the minute I saw her, you could see she had gained weight.. I dont get why they do this, as if we are not guna notice? And it's almost sad, because it's almost like they dont like themselves as a person the way they are... And i dont have problems with chubby looking girls either.
I've edited some pictures of mine the only one I didn't edit I was accused off my ex that it was edited.. go figure that out so then I took it as a compliment and thought in a JOKING way can't fk with perfection lol
You can honestly, ''hey... it looks like you aren't the same people presented online, I think i need go... because i don't want to spend my time with someone who's totally misrepresented, deceiving...''
If you angle it right, you can make yourself look a lot better, people don't like pictures that show the harsh reality so they go for the picture that's a bit more flattering.
The girls who look different are usually due to editing and filters. A good example is Kim K, I've heard that she looks completely different in social media vs real life. I believe that's one of the reasons why you cannot find unedited pictures of her. It seems like a self-esteem thing, I would avoid those girls.
Maybe she was having a bad day. I know for pics, I will wear a little makeup etc. but on a day-to-day basis I usually won't. I think that guys sometimes expect too much.
So, the answer to the problem of guys having unrealistic expectations is to not set the expectations unrealistically high in the first place.
I met my wife online. Her photo showed her wearing a little lip gloss but no other makeup. Amazingly, when I first met her face to face, she looked exactly like her profile picture.
I'm not saying to never where makeup in online photos. I'm saying that presenting ONLY your best image online can leave your real world self looking a measure inferior.
Your photo may mean to you "this is my best look".
Guys seeing an online pictures of a woman think "this is what this woman looks like".

For more severe cases I feel like it's very deceiving, almost like they're trying to trick me. Starting the relationship with a lie? No thanks.
No, men (and some women ) are looks first, personality second.

so i assume you have no celebrity crushes. you're romantic interests are the humanitarian type?

Angles, Instagram filters, Makeup, multiple picture attempts and then posting up the best ones.
