Girls, question on protecting ourselves?

Anonymous
Today at school, the girls were separated from the boys into different halls and we had a guest speaker talk about the dangers of drinking, partying etc. Us girls were given a female and male instructor who were teaching us the basics of self defense in groups. However, I found it extremely weird that the instructors were virtually teaching us how to damage the male reproductive system in sooo many different ways.

At one point the instructor us that if we were ever in a situation where a boy was trying to come one to us in a dangerous way, we should basically go with it, get the boy unaware, before kicking him in his testicles with our knee repeatedly while screaming.

I myself found this kind of teachings to be extremely unfair, as many of the girls in my class would probably abuse it and the boys seem to be so fragile down there. I even heard one of my friends talking about how she could not wait to try it out on a particular boy in our class the next time he annoyed her. (There have been many cases already where some of the girls kick boys there "for fun" and do it too hard, ending in the boy having to be sent home because he was in too much pain)

When I asked them this, they explained to me that if I was in danger it did not matter if the boy got hurt permanently because of me, as he should not have made me feel endangered in the first place if he did not want to get hurt.

Do you think that this approach should be taught?
