What does it feel like to blush?

I dont think I have ever blushed before. Isn't that where your face gets redder from embarrassment or infatuation or something? Well, that has never happened to me and many people I know. I'm African American, and I haven't researched it but I'm fairly certain that I cannot blush and if I can, you won't be able to see it. I'm not darker toned, I'm actually more on the yellowish light brown side, but I just want to know what blushing feels like. I heard your face gets hot? And is it true that you can feel when your blushing? Is it embarrassing to be caught blushing or something? Many people i see hide their blush or don't want people to see it. I think its adorable a little bit, but I just don't understand how it works. And maybe I have been blushing all along and never known? Lol

by the way this question was sparked from when j diad some inappropriate stuff around my white male friend and he started blushing and I went "oh my god! Are you blushing! People REALLY blush? Blushing is real?" Lol

"Blush" is actually short for "blood rush". Your description is pretty correct, the face gets hot and basically you develope a reddish tone, doesn't last very long though. I'm pale, so whenever I get embarrassed my cheeks look like tomatoes lol. I gotta say that it's very uncomfortable for me when people point it out and say things about it. But it's nice that you think it's cute! :3

You would have blushed before. You just feel vulnerable and panicked, but you don't shy away from what's embarrassing you for some reason. and people tell you you are blushing.

If you're so embarrassed you want to genuinely escape, you go white.

Thanks for that information. I actually think I may have blushed and even though I dont visibly show much change I m sure I have. And I just did a mini research and learned that everyone blushes its just not very noticeable in some people.

Pretty much a minor version of what your face feels like in the cold, or when going from cold to heat. So yeah it kinda burns.
I think black people can blush it's just not that visible.

I wonder if I have ever blushed and not known. Its not like in the midst of being embarrassed I stop and think "my face is awfully hot."

It's like an abnormal heat. For me I know, because I feel it and feel panicky. There's an instant rush of blood to your face. Have you ever passed out from exhaustion or something? Sometimes the opposite happens and you lose color in your face.
