She acts different when we're alone vs when we're in a group. Is she just a big flirt or does she like me? There's a girl I've been friends with for a few months and she is great: she's super funny, outgoing, really caring, fun loving (can take a joke). I really like her but I can't tell if she likes me cause I'm kind of a shy guy and I can never tell these things. What's really weird is that she acts super different when we hang out with our friends (we have the same friend circle). When we do hang out with our friends she always seems to put me in the spotlight and tease me/gives me a hard time about things (nothing too serious) often. An example is that we were talking about thing we look for in a guy/girl and the topic of "nice guys" came up and said that she wouldn't date a nice guy cause there will be no variety in the long run and then she proceeds to use me as an example of a nice guy and then started to laugh LOL. So things like that she kind of teases me on. She also doesn't seem to acknowledge me much when we're in a group setting which is also kind of odd. Even though this happens, when we are alone she turns into a completely different person. She's way more intimate with me ( e. g: way more touchy with me, gets really close to me, grabs me) , she always buys me things (food, coffee, souvenirs from her trips, etc.), and make flattering comments constantly My question is what the hell is going on haha. Why does she act different in a group setting vs when we are alone? Is she just a big flirt/tease, does she lowkey like me, or is she just really nice and I'm overanalyzing it?

She probably lowkey likes you, but doesn't want other people to know that (maybe because she is embarassed?).

If it bugs you, you could always say something to her. But that puts your friendship at risk.

Be careful now, she could be a big flirt, and if she tends to flirts with a lot of other guys too, and that bugs you, then don't even consider a relationship. Trust me.
