Why do girls interrupt you when having a conversation?

I noticed that when I'm having a conversation with a girls she'll interrupt me, not because she's trying to be mean but because it's how they show they are taking what I'm saying seriously, but often what ends up happening is I forget what I'm saying or just stop talking to them completely. I don't think girls are aware of how guys communicate and to realize that it's a problem for us. For example I as a guy have an entire story that I want to tell you and by you interrupting me leads me to believe that you always want it to bring it back to yourself. We don't see it as you being engaged in our conversation, because if you where engaged you would do what a guy does which is listen until we are finish then discussed what you've heard.

I also listen too a lot of podcasts where the panel will be all female and they are just so comfortable interrupt each other, but sometimes they'll bring a guy on and interrupt him will he is speaking, which begs the question do they even care about his opinion.

Also some thing that I found eye opening is that if you go on google and type in "why do women interrupt men" it will say do you mean "why do men interrupt women" which only goes to show society is brainwashed into think men are the ones that interrupt when have a conversation.

I had a boyfriend who had this problem - he said I was the only girl who let him talk a lot. The problem for him is that he would go on really really long monologues barely stopping for air on some topic that was incredibly too detailed to make good conversation. (He was an engineer and almost only talked to other engineers).

Females tend to speak to affirm they are listening to the speaker, I think to assure them it's ok to keep talking or to show they connect with them. But if the speech is super long, she may be making several needless comments just to show "ok, I'm listening still. Uh huh."

Try being more concise with your conversation to see if it helps.

If I don't comment as they come to me I really won't remember what I wanted to say when the time comes... I always have so much going on up there that I kind of like to get it out there as it goes in... if not I've already kind of forgot the beginning by the end and kind of checked out out of aggravation. I can't give him the attention he deserves if I can't follow his train of thought. If a guy just wants someone to sit and listen, not react or give advice then I'll sit there and not say anything. I can do that I just don't know how much I'll retain but if you don't want to talk about it or have me give a reaction that really doesn't matter.

No. Like most other things it goes both ways. When other think that you are talking jibberish they'll butt into your conversation to make their opinions heard. Or sometimes it can be an act of jealousy, especially if someone has a crush on you and they see you talking to other women or men, rather than them. They come over and interrupt your conversation in order to grab your attention. No one has ever done that with me before. But a couple of guys who had crushes on me in the past used to watch me talking to other men and looked kinda angry about it.

I think they do it because they won't remember what they were going to say about a certain point in the story if they wait till you're done

For me I tend to have that habit when there's something important to the topic and I don't want to forget by the time the conversation finishes. It doesn't necessarily imply that I'm rude, I'm just very forgetful when it comes to saying important details.

I do that if I want to know something for example.

I asked you if you passed your test or something, and you tell me stuff not regarding that test, I'll interrupt ya and ask again. Like if I want to know something badly

If you're talking to a girl and a specific other girl interipts she might have gotten jealous of you talking to another girl
