The girl I'm dating is on vacation, should I worry?

I'm worried that she's been gone for a week on vacation to another state. I didn't call or text the first 3 days because I didn't want to seem like I was smothering her, since we've only been on two dates. I sent her a text the 4th day and she responded happily, lots of smileys and lols, but it was very short, and it ended abruptly. Then I texted her the 5th day and we only exchanged two or three texts and it ended.

Am I overreacting? Should I just assume she was having a good time drinking or something and so that's why she didn't keep the conversation going? I decided to not call her and text her only once in a while to let her have a good time without it feeling like I'm breathing down her neck. But her short conversations with me when I do contact her bothers me. Should I worry that she's not feeling us anymore?

I'd just like to also ask, if I'm doing the right thing by not contacting her too much while she's on vacation? I don't want to smother her, but maybe she wants me to keep in touch more, even when she's out of state?

Do you have reason not to trust her? If you're on vacation, do you automatically cheat and pursue other women? You probably don't. Relax, now is not the time to be jealous. If you cannot trust her, how can your relationship work? I'm assuming she is an honorable person; if she's unhappy, she would let you know. Enjoy your space.

She is more than likely just out having fun. If you do try and talk to her nonstop everyday she'll get annoyed. Let her breathe, she'll be very happy to see you when she gets home.
