I don't have any social media accounts either. This is my first (and only).
To answer your question: Most of the population doesn't value their privacy whatsoever and many are not able to comprehend what privacy means. From what I have seen here and in the news is that many individuals base their self worth on social media follows, likes, and other people's pictures/posts.
Because in this digital era of full on digitization and being connected 24/7, for many, many people it's almost incomprehensible not being present on social media.
For them it's akin to being asocial, reclusive and heremitic.
But for many others, it's also a sign of mistery... and suspicion. They wonder, why aren't you on social media? Why aren't you sharing? What are you hiding?
Sadly, that's how it is nowadays. I respect your decision and I believe it will make you great honor to stick by your beliefs, and I'm confident that one day you'll find a girl who won't care about it and maybe will even appreciate your choice!
I only have FB for ages, but only use it to see what my old classmates up to once in a blue moon. Not even uploaded any pics and one comment, since 2008...
Rest of them, why I should need more? Most of that anti-social media stuff is for instant gratification stuff anyway and I have life, so there is no need in proving strangers how successful I can look in a pic and most of those who look successful there are broke as they spent all their money on that pic...
Will not even go to how much tame it would take out of my life...

Yeah, many girls care more about attention and affirmation and being liked or sexualized, than having privacy.
Girls are using it to scope out guys. They use it to analyze every detail of how he presents himself. It's gross. Make them get to know you, and other men, the 'old-fashioned' way. Talking. What a revolutionary thought.

These dumb chickens didn't live in a time, where there was no social media at all or where privacy used to be actually a thing.
I overheard they use social media as a means to "background check" and screen us before going out with us or falling in love with us.
From my point of view, people, that don't have any social media are a minority group now. Most have social media and keep indulging in this crap like it's smoking or Big Mac.
maybe you should try to find girls who are more into your way of life. maybe try to meet girls who go to libraries and who work hard and we live in a world where social media is a huge part of life, and your not alone in how you feel and there are other people out there that maybe you should get to meet.
Personally if I met someone close to my age with out social media, unless there were like an off grid hippy sort, I would think they were hiding something at first impression
I’m the same as you in that I don’t have social media. They probably think it’s weird because most people have one.

Don't mind them, social media is toxic. Their entire life is social media lol they are unlucky to not know that they can fulfill their life goals and be happy without feeling the need to tell strangers about it.
I don’t have any social media accounts, nothing linking me to… me. no pictures no profiles, no friends no followers no family listed. I get on here for entertainment only.
Because girls value social media as much or more than real life.
