I think for a long time within human existence, women were discouraged, in whatever forms, to NOT engage in these actions.  As times became more egalitarian and progressive, women can do more and more the things they were told not to do.  BUT While the option to do what they were told for so long not to do is preferable to not having the option (we humans want to feel like we have choices and free will to do what we want to do), it still seems as if the majority are not engaging in such behaviors.  Because they do not want to Women, people do NOT usually like being told they cannot do something, whatever it may be.  They may just do it just to spite the people telling them NO, even though they don’t really want to do whatever it is  OR They want the option available and will go to significant lengths to achieve this, but will still not do whatever it is.  They just want the free will, the choice. Even though they do not want to do or even like whatever it is.

Women who engage in such acts do that for exactly the same reasons men do, and as far as I know men don't do that for proving their liberty, but because their minds are so full of these promiscuous casualities or maybe they have commitment issues..
What we view as liberating is having equal rights in pursuing opportunities and goals as men have, in being viewed as equal and of same potiential as them and not as toys for men to have fun with.

Speaking for myself, I don't think it is liberating at all as a woman to be sexually promiscuous, engage in hookups or one-night stands. However, I DO think it is liberating for society to change in a way in which women aren't judged harshly if they chose to do so.

So, for myself I do not find it liberating. However, I like a freer society that doesn't have drastically different rules for men and women.
