I don’t really have a strong opinion on the question topic itself, but in response to your quote, I will say that blocking tends to be a bandaid to a problem rather than a true solution. Vast majority of social media sites have a block button, but there are rules/guidelines, because even with a block button, seeing repeated first exposures to the soon-to-be-blocked people can create a poor online experience. A similar case can be made for ignoring.

I think having the idea of blocking/ignoring is a weak defense to justifying the question topic’s pictures. It’s a weak defense in general arguably, whether that be someone trying to justify people being rude/harassing, wanting to post nudity on a forum, getting political— whatever. Blocking/ignoring is a bandaid.
