I've never been pregnant, don't plan to get pregnant and would never want to ever have to make this decision but I imagine termination of pregnancy is really hard. We shouldn't judge. You can have personal opinions but don't make others feel bad. We don't know why someone terminates and it's not a black and white scenario either. Free contraceptives to all, mandatory comprehensive sex education, better wages and employment stability, free childcare, lower cost of living and universal healthcare and more paid parental leave are going to be significantly more helpful in reducing abortion rates rather than just shaming people that get them anyway. Regardless of opinion, termination of pregnancy should always be safe and legal. By making it not so, you remove the option of a safe abortion and people go to great lengths to get them illegally. I live in a country where it's completely legal and available to those that seek it. I certainly don't like to think about the idea of termination but I do support people having that decision accessible to them.

If you have kids, why did you as a couple not adopt a child from the care system, surely that’s selfish as you knew there care system in your country is struggling.
I won't say why someone chooses to do it the first time is selfish or not, we never know their reasons. If they are using it as a form of birth control, then yes. I say that is selfish, those women who have had multiple abortions cause they are too lazy to get a IUD or use BC or make him wear a condom, etc...
Truth is though, most do not use it repeatedly over and over as a form of birth control.
I understand what you are saying though, there is a huge waiting list, give or take of 2 to 3 years in the US to adopt newborns. No one is ever forced to raise a child they do not want.
