Why did this woman who is engaged to be married say I am handsome even tho she’s betrothed? Is it appropriate or not?

She used to live near me and she just said to me when walking past
I find it a bit disrespectful so I was pleased with the remark but I felt sorry for her fiancé as he would dearly love her and most likely would’ve been the one to propose. So here he is loving her when she’s giving compliments to other men. He wasn’t around to hear it but I would have been upset if my fiancé was complimenting other men to their face

Why did she do this? It is nice to get a compliment but she’s someone else’s fiancé and one day she will be his wife adopting his surname and being part of his family so I don’t think it’s appropriate. What do you think? Why did she do it? Was it appropriate?

Yeah. I agree with you. Perhaps she lacks social skills or a sense of a proper appraisal of marriage. For me - I wouldn’t propose unless I knew I could sustain the commitment forever and so could my partner but that’s just me
