Girls, Why does she always go for THAT area when we are play fighting?

Me and my sister occasionally play fight since I moved back in with her and my Mom and we get along and it is fun. But frustratingly now that she is a bit older she is way more rough when play fighting and she seems so much more competitive and just wants to hurt me and win. Pretty much straight away when we start messing around she now just clenches her fist up and holds it up like she is going to punch me and looks right at my balls. She tries to punch me over and over and just goes for my nuts! Luckily she is not big or strong so I can grab her hands and push her away but she has gotten me really bad before by surprise that had me almost in tears.

I'm not sure who taught her to do this and why she thinks it's funny and ok to do but our mom just ignores it.
So my question is really How do I get her to stop? Is this something you did to your brother/father? Why did you do it and what was your reason for aiming there? What made you stop doing it?

Thank you all for the answers, just an update. I told my mom and she said she was the one that taught her? She said she taught her to hit boys there to defend herself but she meant in a real situation and she clearly just took that as defending herself even when just playing around.

She is going to talk to her about it to explain what she meant properly. Thanks for the advice!

First you need to tell her to stop. If it doesn't work you really need to tell your parents, I mean tell your mom or dad explicitely. I know it may not be comfortable but you need to tell her right now if you want your sister to stop.
For the second part, I never did it on purpose. It is really something you shouldn't do.
And by the way do you initiate the fights. I mean you should stop fighting each other, you older enough I think. Because if you initiate maybe she thiks she is just defending herself.

I sometimes iniate the play fights but so does she and it would be sad to stop because I want her to enjoy having me home again because I haven't lived with her in a long time and I think she misses having her big brother and is just enjoying it but yes I agree I will probably talk about it. I might talk directly to her though first because I think it would be very very awkward to talk to our mom about it

Yes if you haven't done it yet, talk to her. She might not have realized how much it hurts. I mean she probably already knows it hurts but tell her it really hurts you a lot. You really need to insist on the really high pain you feel
If it does not stop her, tell you mom. I know it is might awkward for you but you'll be fine, she's your mom. You basically just have to tell her that you sister is often trying to hit you between the legs although you insisted on her to not do that because it hurts you

Yea, she definitely knows that it hurts me and I think that she just laughs at my reaction when she does it 😕 I think it is very hard for her to understand the degree of pain because she obviously hasn't and can't feel that same pain so when I said to her 'how would you like it if someone did that to you?' she just laughed and said she would just fight back

I have decided that next time she does it I'm going to really sit down and talk with her and explain it to her because I feel like that is less awkward then explaining it to our mom. But if she still doesn't get it and stop then I'll have to tell our mom which I really don't want to do

To be honest, I'm not sure you should fight back because it will escalate quickly and she might be hurt badly.
And if I were you I'd talk to her as soon as possible because you said it already happened several times. And I think it could be easier with your mom because you wouldn't have to explain anything. Just tell her where your sister kicks you and she will end it

And to be honest I wouldn't blame your mom for teaching it to your sister. It is really a move every girl should know because of how effective and easy it is. But of course to be used only for self defense

Thank you! It was awkward but it's better then my sister punching me in the balls again 😂 my Mom said that she thought she saw her try to punch me there and overheard her say "I will punch your balls" but she didn't know if that's what actually happened so she didn't comment on it 😂

Haha yeh it didn't happen a lot at least but I just didn't want it to continue. But luckily no she never kicked me she is way to short and I'm to tall for that but she just happens to be around that height where her head is around my belly button and her fists around my waist height so they were an easy target for her.. painfully easy 😂

Yes I guess quite easy, I remember this guy when I was monitor in a summer camp. He was pretending to box against a kid to make everyone laugh. And the kid out of nowhere punched him in the balls. Pretty effective to be honest

She's quite a bit younger then me but she also has autism so she doesn't really understand a lot when I try to explain things to her, it just takes time for her to understand and when she gets excited and having fun she just doesn't listen that's what makes it so difficult!

That's exactly what she does to me! She is literally the exact height to punch me there and sometimes she says "truce!" And then I stop and let my guard down and she punches me REALLY hard when I look away.. I want to be able to be her fun big brother so I don't want to stop entirely 😕

My mother told me the first and only time I kicked my brother in his testicles and I told my daughter the same when I saw her trying to kick her little brother in the crotch area when they were fighting and I sat her down right away and had a big chat with her.

I am disappointed that your mother hasn't addressed this with you because if she is doing it to you then she is probably doing it to boys at her school and if she injures one of the boys at school then your family will be dealing with the consequences of her actions if a family takes it further.

She's your sister and she loves you so if you explain to her then she'll probably understand. She knows it's gonna hurt so that's why she goes for it. Oh I totally get why you would feel awkward explaining all of that to her. Maybe get another male figure to explain that to her like your dad or your uncle etc. They will probably feel more comfortable. If that's not happening, maybe give her some sites where she can read from. If she is explained to in the right way then she will probably understand. No good person wants to really hurt their sibling intentionally.
