Why does my cousin always brag about being more attractive than other women?

My cousin is always bragging about her beauty and it kinda gets old sometimes. I'm cute too but I just sit back and watch her brag. When the Victorias secret fashion show comes on, she says she's just as pretty or prettier than all the models on there. When we walk into a room of people, she brags to me about how she looks the best out of all of them. SHe's always telling me so and so is jealous of her looks. If a girl looks at her wrong "oh she's jealous of me."

Like no offence, it's good to be confidence but she is really cocky. And she thinks she's more beautiful than VS angels? They're like the top 1% of the population. And not everyone is jealous of you come on. Some people just don't like you. She puts down other girls to bring herself up. She's a pretty girl and I agree with her when she says she's beautiful but the constant bragging is annoying. Can I get her to see that the bragging and putting others down is off-putting?

Because she's insecure about her looks. People who are confident about what they have don't act like that because their looks speak for themselves. Other people tell them. They don't need to voice it out loud. In fact, most gorgeous women who are confident underrate their looks to other people.

And there's no real way to ask her to stop bragging without hurting her feelings because she's insecure.

Insecurities are loud, confidence is quiet.
