Why is my crush on him increasing after spending more time with him?

Over the past few months, my crush started to slowly fade. However, after spending more time with him, my crush on him is starting to creep back. The progress I made has been reversed; my butterflies are coming back and I feel jealous when he spends time with other girls. The articles I read states that crushes would fade as you get to know the person more. Why is the reverse happening to me?

He knows I like him, or at least he knew eight months ago. Since I'm not expressing any of my feelings, I doubt he knows that I still like him. I don't know if he likes me back or not or if he's just leading me on.

Because that's what happens. The more time you spend with anyone, the more attatched you become. It should be a matter of do you WANT to be more attatched. Just don't let infatuation mask common sense decisions.
