How do I respond? I'm so confused.

I'm not sure if getting closer can work out for us so I would want to just give an answer that doesn't make her think I have a crush on her, but I also don't want to give her an answer that makes her think I just friend-zoned her (Just in case I really don't know).

well, it’s not awkward for u if h think about it, more awkward for her cus she’s the one who said it.
same situation happaened to me a while back, i j asked what ge meant by it and it cleared it up. it happened again w another friend, but i had strictly platonic feelings for both so i crafted a response that made that clear.
