In other words, when guys or girls are looking from a distance and you maybe don't really notice or pay attention to it much, it's OK, but when they are near and it seems like they are staring at you because you are a buff guy or a nice looking girl with a sexy summer outfit on, are you more uneasy about it close up then when they are more distant admirers?

Yes, I understand you and do not pay much attention to those that are far away but am much more conscience of someone staring at me who is closer up.

In my experience with high value men, including myself. Dressing in those types of sexually provocative styles will only get you the attention of the wrong type of men.
The method to which wise and high value men court women, seems to be an absolute enigma to modern women. It's a unspoken tragedy.

I work in central London where all the diplomats live, very close to the Israeli embassy in Chelsea and Kensington. I see the type of women that go in and out of the houses around there. They don't dress any of these women.

They tend to dress extremely modestly. Like a throwback from an ancient time. Their garments are very simple but the accessories they wear look like they were bought with bars of gold. They are just classy from head to toe and so unassuming. They don't attract attention to themselves and that's exactly how they gain my attention. (Visual attention, not lustful, just appreciation of class when I see it.)

As a guy, I never minded being checked out by girls. It's flattering and it gave me romantic options.

I don't understand why a girl would feel uncomfortable being appreciated. After all, she dressed to look pretty. But I can understand why being stared at like a piece of meat by a salivating wolf might feel creepy.

I like women who have more bounce in their step and sway in their hips when polite appreciation lets them know that they look good.

Unless I'm totally off base here, I'm guessing most, if not all reasonably attractive girls know that if they wear anything approaching sexy that guys will check them out, it's basically human nature. So, I'm thinking you are correct that they give the impression of being "offended", but in reality they enjoy the attention. For me, I guess I'm just being honest in admitting that I do enjoy it.

And also, I am proud of you for venturing out of your usual section! Something else worth noting is that it is way creepier to be sized up by a dude if you’re alone, at least in my book. From with my husband or some friends I don’t find it near as frightening.
And oddly enough, someone is close up and happens to tell you you look nice, versus not saying anything at all or saying something fairly repulsive, that’s OK too
