Friend who gets angry when I get attention?

I have a friend who is fun to go out drinking with, but I've noticed that if I get attention from a guy or a compliment from another girl while we're out she looks disgusted, unhappy and then is in a bad mood for the rest of the time. She won't talk to me and is really unfriendly. When she gets attention, I hype her up and tell her the guy obviously likes her, so why can't she do the same for me? She's good and fun most of the time until I get attention. I want it to be a reciprocal friendship and it feels a little one-sided in this way. Is this friend still worth going out with?

I think the friend is still worth going out with, afterall you don't get compliments continuously every single time you hang out with her I guess, and I assume she isn't jealous of many other things where she could (or is she?).
She has for sure some sort of comparison or competition issue anyway, but how does she manage that? Does she say sorry and wants to avoid being a pain all the day after feeling jealous? Is she conscious that this is a problem and that you are not interested in spending a day with someone salty for something you didn't do? If not, then it's a problem. She can recover the situation by just trying to overcome it and avoid this tendency she has but this has to pass through communication I guess.
If you trust her enough to tell her about this without fearing getting into a huge argument then all fine, if you don't, then I guess you have the answer about the quality of your friendship... But worth an attempt anyway, afterall if you are considering to break up with her, at most opening the topic up will just... Break up indeed, in the worst case scenario. Maybe you can open it like saying you are sorry for her and awkward about this, not angry or annoyed.

I wouldn't bother with her personally. Sounds like she envies the attention you get and you can't really help that. You can just distance yourself or hype her up. It's her own insecurities. Do you get more attention than her?
